Evans’s recent LinkedIn update highlighted that Respawn, their incubation team, has been recruiting professionals over the past few years. A previously removed job ad (as reported by TheGamerPost) indicated they were seeking an individual with substantial expertise in creating Multiplayer First-Person Shooter (FPS) game experiences.

In 2016, Titanfall 2 debuted on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms, earning critical acclaim upon release. However, the game’s publisher, Electronic Arts, made a misstep in releasing it between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – two popular first-person shooters with extensive online fanbases. This unfavorable placement hampered Titanfall 2 significantly, and unfortunately, it struggled to bounce back from this disadvantageous position.
