Just hours before its release, D-CELL GAMES has announced that Unbeatable will be delayed until early December. The last-minute change is due to a critical bug that needs to be fixed before the game can launch.
Unbeatable, a rhythm game with a vibrant anime style, first appeared on Kickstarter in 2021. You play as Beat, a vocalist fighting against a government that has banned music. Alongside your band, you’ll use exciting rhythm-based gameplay to restore music to the world. A playable demo on PC and PlayStation 5 proved popular with players. While initially planned for a November 6th release, the developers have announced the game will now launch in December.
Indie Rhythm Game Unbeatable Gets Last-Minute Delay to December 9th, 2025
Unbeatable, a highly anticipated game, has been delayed. Director RJ Lake announced on Steam that the new release date is December 9th, 2025. The game was originally scheduled to launch very soon, making this a last-minute change. The team explained that they encountered a critical technical issue that, if fixed, would have meant releasing the console version later than other platforms. To avoid a staggered release, they’ve decided to push back the launch on all platforms to December.
Game delays are unusual, especially when announced so close to the release date. Since Unbeatable is highly anticipated, this news will likely be frustrating for fans. However, D-CELL GAMES says the extra time will allow them to finish some content they weren’t able to include before. While we’ll have to wait another month, the final version of the game should be the best it can be.
