- One fan’s LEGO Pokemon models showcase a variety of creatures from various Pokemon generations.
- Fans are eagerly awaiting official LEGO Pokemon sets while continuing to build their own custom creations.
Numerous enthusiasts of the Pokemon series have crafted custom LEGO figures of their beloved creatures, and one individual in particular has amassed a truly remarkable collection. Iconic characters from the major franchise such as Pikachu and the Generation 1 starters join lesser-known Pokemon like Volcarona in this fan-made LEGO universe. The array of possibilities for creating unique LEGO versions is seemingly endless, mirroring the vastness of a player’s creativity, and this passion continues to grow as each new Pokemon game introduces even more collectible monsters to the franchise’s already extensive 1,025-monster catalog.
For a while, Mega Bloks had exclusive licensed Pokemon-themed building sets. On the other hand, LEGO enthusiasts have been creating their own fan-made models. However, this year, LEGO and Nintendo made an announcement that they were teaming up again for an official Pokemon line, with the first products expected in 2026. So far, only Pikachu has been confirmed for a set in this new collaboration. Naturally, fans are brainstorming their wish lists of other Pokemon they hope to see as LEGO figures.
As I eagerly await new official LEGO Pokémon sets, I’ll undoubtedly keep crafting my own custom creations to share with fellow enthusiasts online. Take Reddit user hysterical_cub, for instance; they recently unveiled a series of stunning homemade Pokémon LEGO models on the r/pokemon subreddit. The collection showcases an impressive array of characters spanning multiple generations of Pokémon games.
Pokemon Fan Assembles Impressive Line-Up of LEGO Models
They allowed other players to determine the Pokemon that were constructed, with some standout choices including Kabuto/Kabutops and Paras/Parasect from the original “Pokemon Red and Blue”, Deoxys – the shape-shifting alien introduced in Generation 3, Cranidos and its evolved form Rampardos, as well as regional variants such as Alolan Meowth and Alolan Exeggutor. The models may vary in size and accuracy, but hysterical_cub has received numerous accolades for their building abilities.
Hey there, fellow gamer! Although LEGO’s official Pokémon model line isn’t coming out until next year or so, we’ve still got some amazing fan-made creations to look forward to in the meantime. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, and Nintendo has a ton of exciting content lined up for 2025 and beyond. One example is “Pokémon Legends: Z-A”, the much-anticipated sequel to 2022’s “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”. This game is set to release on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. Can’t wait!
