Ranging from heartwarming narrative games centered around tea shops, to high-end sequels of popular cult favorites, the February 2025 Annapurna Interactive Showcase offered an array of delights for fans seeking diverse indie gaming experiences.

Skin Deep

Release Date – April 30, 2025

Developed by the studio behind games like Gravity Bone and Flotilla, Skin Deep was showcased with a fresh gameplay trailer during Annapurna Interactive’s recent event, along with an announced release date of April 30. Skin Deep is a deeply immersive first-person shooter where players work to save a cat-crewed ship from danger. A demo for Skin Deep can now be played through Steam Next Fest.

Wanderstop

Release Date – March 11, 2025

Among the highly awaited snug games slated for 2025, “Wanderstop” was unveiled at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase, confirming its arrival on Xbox Series X/S in addition to the previously disclosed PC and PS5 versions. In “Wanderstop”, players will embody Alta, a former warrior who unwillingly manages a tea shop nestled within a mystical forest. A playable demo for “Wanderstop” during Steam Next Fest can be accessed immediately.

Wheel World

Release Date – Summer 2025

During Steam Next Fest, enthusiastic gamers might want to check out ‘Wheel World’, a single-player racing game with a touch of fantasy. In this game, players assume the role of Kat and must execute the Great Shift ritual to meet their destiny and save the universe. This ritual involves navigating a magical world on a bike while racing.

Geometric Interactive’s Next Game

At Annapurna’s presentation, the team responsible for the Game Awards 2023’s Best Debut Indie winner, Cocoon, Geometric Interactive, unexpectedly showed up. They revealed they would be collaborating with Annapurna again on a new venture, but they didn’t disclose any specifics about what this project will entail.

Lushfoil Photography Sim

Release Date – April 15, 2025

A remarkable solo endeavor, “Lushfoil Photography Sim” is a first-person photography game offering photorealistic visuals. Players traverse diverse tranquil landscapes, from the northern regions of England to Japan. The launch of “Lushfoil” is scheduled for April 15, 2025, and it will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
