Unbelievable Twists in Netflix’s Wolf King Ending You Never Saw Coming!

In the first season of Netflix’s “Wolf King”, Drew Ferran ventures out into reality and meets various potent Werelords. Growing up in seclusion, Drew was unaware of his true self for years. His adoptive parents understood that he was a Werelord, but they concealed this fact to protect him. However, the status quo shifts when Drew begins transforming into a werewolf on nights of a full moon.

That very same night, Drew encounters a strange Werelord who attacks him. In an effort to shield her son, Tilly Ferran sacrifices herself against the beast. Just when it seemed like the Werelord would slay Drew too, the boy miraculously transformed into a wolf, causing the creature to retreat. Alone at the time and unaware of what truly happened, Drew’s father and brother assume he was responsible for Tilly’s death. This tragic event casts Drew as a monster in the eyes of the entire village. With no other options, the boy must journey into treacherous lands to seek out Duke Bergan – someone Tilly believed could provide answers to his questions.

Drew Ferran Is The Last Descendant Of The Werewolves In Wolf King

The Last Wolf King, King Wergar, Was Drew’s Real Father

Prior to her passing, Tilly shared with Drew that he should make his way to Brackenholme and encounter Duke Bergan, the renowned Werebear of the bear kingdom – a legendary figure in the world of Wolf King. In the course of battling fierce adversaries and encountering helpful companions such as Lady Whitley (Duke Bergan’s daughter), Drew eventually uncovers the truth that he is the last known descendant of the Werewolves. It seems that each domain within Lyssia, the world of Wolf King, is governed by a Werelord. This extends to the realms of Sharks, Bears, Stags, Boars, and Rats as well.

For numerous centuries, the Werelords had been loyal subjects to the noble Wolves, who managed to keep the Werelords united while preserving peace across all realms. However, this balance was disrupted when the Lions defied the Wolves, ultimately destroying their realm. Leopold, the Lion’s ruler, brutally killed King Wergar of the Werewolves and devastated the entire kingdom. Unlike Wergar, Leopold proved to be a merciless tyrant who has dominated the Seven Kingdoms ever since. In order to endure, each realm was forced to bow before the Lions, but many secretly yearned for the Wolves’ return and their reclaim of Lyssia.

Whatever happens, just remember you were always my boy – Tilly to Drew.

In this world, the presence of a Wolf could potentially challenge the dominance of Lions. King Leopold, unaware that Wergar’s son was still alive, had no inkling of this. However, Vanmorten, faithful to King Leopold, discovered Drew’s existence. In response, the cunning Wererat took action and launched an attack on Drew and his mother in their settlement. Despite being subservient to Lions for self-serving reasons, other Werelords such as Bears and Stags were anticipating the arrival of a Wolf. Consequently, Duke Bergan and his kin went to great lengths to ensure Drew’s safety, even if it meant going against the Lions.

Drew’s arrival in Lyssia has sparked a conflict, causing some Lions to switch allegiance, momentarily weakening their position. However, no one dismisses the power of Werelions, as they are known for their ferocity and strength. King Leopold is determined to keep his grip on Lyssia, so he decides to execute Drew on the day of his son Lucas’ wedding. Luckily, Drew’s father intervenes at the last minute, and with the aid of Bears and Stags, they manage to help Drew, the rightful heir of Lyssia, flee the scene.

The Young Werewolf Is Not Yet Ready To Fight King Leopold

He Must Train To Get Stronger

Despite discovering his true identity as a Werewolf, Drew could never truly embrace this truth. He viewed himself as a monster, which made it difficult for him to keep the beast within him under control. Guilt consumed him, believing he was responsible for his adoptive mother’s passing. Drew yearned for a simple life in the village with his family and Erin by his side, but fate had other plans. To fulfill his destiny, he must learn to accept this new reality.

In the land of Lyssia, every young Werelord learns to master their transformative nature under the guidance of a mentor, or else they risk becoming permanently trapped in their beast form. Unfortunately for Drew, he never had such a guide. For a while, he hoped that the Wereshark Vega might step into this role. However, his hopes were dashed when Vega deceived him and delivered him to the Lions. Fortunately, in the end, Vega switched allegiances and aided Drew in breaking free from the Lions’ grasp. Yet, due to his betrayal, Vega could no longer fulfill the duty of being Drew’s mentor as a Werelord.

In each domain, there was a unique Lord of Beasts – sharks and stags, rats and bears, similar to Duke Bergan. All these Beast-Lords swore loyalty to the noble Wolves who ruled Lyssia for centuries. However, the peaceful order ended when Lions invaded and overthrew them. Now, the Lions have their paws around all Seven Realms.

Luckily for Drew, Hector, the true ruler of the Boar realm, remained steadfast by his side. He imparted some valuable lessons to Drew on how to manage the beast within him. It was then that the Werewolf came to understand that his mentor had been walking with him all along, requiring no search elsewhere. Duke Bergan, Vega, and the Lord of Stags were also in Drew’s company, choosing to assist him in growing stronger by training him. Meanwhile, King Leopold found himself imprisoned within his castle, amassing additional allies, while Drew was sailing with his companions on Vega’s ship.

Trent Ferran Wants To Kill His Brother To Avenge His Mother’s Death

He Reaches The Realm Of Bast To Gather Allies For Leopold

In the belief that it was Drew who had taken Tilly’s life, Mack (Drew’s father) and Trent (his brother) decided to act. After Drew fled the village, they chose to enlist in King Leopold’s army, holding out hope that one day the Lions would apprehend Drew. When Drew was under Leopold’s control, Mack and Trent confronted him about the murder of Tilly.

While Mack understands that Drew is not guilty, Trent refuses to acknowledge this due to his rage. Mack attempts to correct things by preventing Drew’s execution, but Trent clings to his resentment towards his brother. To make matters worse, Mack sacrifices himself while shielding Drew, fueling more anger within Trent. Tragically, in the end, both of their parents die swiftly, a consequence of their efforts to save Drew.

In the climactic scenes of “Wolf King” Season 1, Trent aligns himself with Leopold. As the story unfolds, we witness Trent venturing into the domain known as the Realm of Bast. Since Leopold’s forces have been weakened due to the uprising by Boars and Stags against the Lions, he needs to secure additional allies in order to preserve his authority over Lyssia.

Just as I suspected, the Usurper King has entrusted me, Trent, with a vital mission. I’m supposed to deliver his message to the Lord of Bast. The task at hand is to persuade the Werelord of Bast to mobilize his forces and join our fight under Leopold’s banner. With Drew honing his powers and Leopold forging new alliances, it’s clear that Season 2 of Wolf King will undoubtedly become even more ruthless and intense.
