The game titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong” offers an extensive and interconnected map with multiple paths that may lead you to unexplored areas if not carefully followed. However, staying on the primary route will eventually lead you to the Great Citadel in Act Two, a later-game location. Prior to delving into the main halls, players must initially traverse the lower part of the Citadel referred to as Underworks. To assist with exploring this area more effectively, here’s where you can locate the map for reference.
Where to Find the Map of Underworks in Silksong
Upon entering the majestic Great Citadel within Silksong, players find themselves stepping onto an elevator intended for the grand halls. Unfortunately, a fault in the elevator’s mechanism triggers a freefall, descending not only them but also the Hornet, deep into the depths beneath the Citadel, known as Underworks.
In stark contrast to the cheerful, inviting halls we’ve recently passed through, the area now appears utterly dark and barren. To begin, players should insert fifteen Rosary Beads into the device, which will then release a bench for them to sit on and recuperate, restoring their health in the process.
Afterwards, leave the chamber by turning right to arrive at the central hub of Underworks. In this location, you’ll find some airborne adversaries that may assault you as you ascend. To avoid trouble later, it would be wise to eliminate them before you reach the top so you can obtain the map more easily.
Move on to scale the walls of the designated zone by employing your “wall-climbing” skill. Once you’ve ascended halfway, look for a golden handle to the left, which you can activate to drop a boulder on the opposite side. This action will create an unobstructed route for the Hornet to reach the summit.
As you progress forward, continue moving upward until you encounter two paths, one to each side. The route on your right will lead deeper into the Underworks, whereas the pathway on the left, marked with a signboard, is where you’ll find the map first.
To find the map for the Underworks in Silksong, navigate towards the room indicated by the signboard to your left. Inside this dimly lit space, you’ll spot an interactive wooden board. Upon interacting with it, Hornet will receive the desired map. This method differs from the previous one where maps were purchased from Shakra instead.
