The uncontested creators, Steel City Interactive, have disclosed tentative details about the upcoming update for the game, planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC towards the end of this month. More specifics about the patch will be revealed as we get closer to its launch. However, avid fans should not anticipate major gameplay alterations or fresh content in this update. Yet, it’s worth mentioning that one excessively powerful boxer is receiving a notable power reduction.
In the past decade or so, the popular Fight Night series by EA has remained inactive. Seizing this opportunity, Steel City introduced Undisputed in October 2024. Regrettably, this long-awaited boxing game faced a bumpy start with critics upon its release last year. On Steam, it continues to receive mixed reviews, but more recently, the feedback has been predominantly negative. Many players criticized the career mode for being sparse, while some went as far as stating that the game felt more enjoyable during its early access phase.
New Undisputed Update Coming This Month
Fortunately, developer Steel City Interactive has continued to address concerns from gamers about the game Undisputed, consistently releasing updates. Although it’s been more than a month since the last significant update was rolled out, the team has also implemented several hotfixes in the meantime, and it appears another one is on the horizon within the next few weeks. As per a recent announcement on the official Undisputed Discord channel, a new update is slated for the end of this month, addressing some bugs and significantly reducing the power of the overpowered Sergio Martinez.

Sergio Martinez, a boxer who competes in the Middleweight and Welterweight divisions, has been playable in the game “Undisputed” since its launch. However, his quick right hook and remarkable speed have gone relatively unnoticed for quite a while. Players who haven’t yet had the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with Martinez in an online match of “Undisputed” should consider doing so soon, as Steel City plans to make significant adjustments to the boxer later this month.
As per the official patch notes, which can be found below, Martinez will no longer benefit from one of “Undisputed’s” most sought-after traits: Lightning Hands. This ability increases punch speed by 10%. Additionally, the overall speed of Martinez’s punches is being reduced to 90 at Middleweight and 91 at Welterweight.

Apart from significant adjustments made to Sergio Martinez’s stats, the upcoming version of Undisputed is expected to feature balanced statistics for Southpaw speed and a resolution for the quit glitch. Steel City claims that they have addressed numerous bugs in preparation for the update, with more information to be shared closer to its release date. Since the patch won’t be available until the end of this month, Undisputed players will need to wait about another two weeks before receiving a new update. In the interim, feel free to review the early notes for the upcoming patch below.
