The latest Wonder Pick event for the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has begun, and this time around, it’s all about one of the franchise’s fan-favorite Fighting-type Pokemon – Lucario! In this event, players can gather a variety of Lucario-themed cosmetic items, along with several cards adorned with unique artwork that are exclusively available.

The inclusion of Lucario in the “Pokemon TCG Pocket” significantly impacts players who construct or engage in battles with Fighting-Type decks. To date, two variations of the card have been introduced, and despite the release of the EX version at the end of March, many players continue to utilize the original version. This initial version possesses a passive ability as a Fighting Coach, which amplifies the damage dealt by all attacks launched by Fighting-type Pokemon, adding an additional 20 points of damage per strike.

From April 16 to April 26, players can uncover exclusive Pokemon TCG Promo Cards featuring unique art for Pachirisu and Lucario’s pre-evolved form, Riolu, in special Chansey and Bonus Pick draws from the Wonder Pick menu. These draws will appear at regular intervals throughout this period. Players lucky enough to pull from these special Wonder Pick selections may receive either of these Promo Cards or a variety of useful Pokemon TCG Pocket items such as Hourglasses and Event Shop Tickets.

Lucario Wonder Pick Event Period in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Beyond drawing the two unique cards, the most recent Wonder Pick Event introduces seven novel themed items for personalizing your decks and virtual play areas. These items are centered around Lucario, with card sleeves and a coin available, while a new playmat, backdrop, and cover image showcase both Lucario and Riolu. Additionally, players can purchase an icon featuring Cynthia, the Sinnoh region Pokemon Champion, who is known for using Lucario in both games and anime, as well as a red curtain Stage Frame backdrop to highlight their top cards.

Players can earn extra Event Shop Tickets by finishing special missions with a limited duration. These tasks involve achieving specific targets such as making a certain number of Wonder Picks, obtaining at least one card from each new promotional set, and gathering specified numbers of both Fighting and Lightning-type Pokemon. Unfortunately, the Sneak Peek function in Pokemon TCG Pocket will not help locate these cards within Wonder Pick, as this feature has been discontinued on April 10. However, the event continues until April 26, 2025, providing ample time for dedicated fans to accumulate tickets and redeem their rewards.
