In March, the new version of the wrestling game, WWE 2K25, was released. Compared to last year’s edition, it features several improvements such as an expanded roster, a more advanced MyGM mode, and the introduction of promos in Universe mode. However, the reception from fans towards WWE 2K25 has been mixed, marking a continuation of the negative trend that began when the franchise resumed in 2021 after taking a year off.

Players have the opportunity to obtain 12,500 Virtual Currency (VC) by navigating to the Locker Code section within MyFaction mode, and inputting the code CHACHING12500. This new code is being released concurrently with the debut of WWE 2K25’s New Wave Downloadable Content (DLC) pack. The latest DLC pack introduces a selection of fresh wrestlers, including Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. These new additions expand the roster for women’s singles and men’s tag divisions. However, as previously promised, a fifth special celebrity guest wrestler is not yet available in the pack at launch. A tweet from the official WWE 2K account, which announces the Locker Code, hints that more information about the mystery wrestler will be shared “in an upcoming announcement from WWE,” and it seems possible that the VC giveaway could be a form of apology or compensation for the delay in releasing the fifth wrestler.

A previously unannounced celebrity wrestler is slated for the third DLC of WWE 2K25 in July, while the June pack will introduce three unidentified NBA players to the wrestling game world for the first time.
