Based on their findings, as of early March 2025, subscribers of the PS Plus Premium service can access around 95 free films through the Sony Pictures Core app.

The present lineup of free movies offers approximately six Resident Evil films: Afterlife, Apocalypse, Damnation, Degeneration, Extinction, and Vendetta. In addition to these, there are three Final Fantasy movies available, including FF7: Advent Children, FF: The Spirits Within, and Kingsglaive: FF15. A substantial portion of the free movies provided by Sony Pictures Core are films from the early 2000s, such as Slackers, The 6th Day, Adaptation, American Outlaws, Big Fish, The Foreigner, Snatch, The Whole Nine Yards, and Winged Migration. For those who enjoy cyberpunk media, the 1995 thriller Johnny Mnemonic, starring Keanu Reeves, is worth checking out.

Every month, Sony Pictures Core’s free offerings for PS Plus members tend to switch out, with new movies added and some existing ones removed. This means that certain films currently available might not be accessible beyond March 31. Unfortunately, the specific titles that will rotate out aren’t usually revealed ahead of time. To stay informed about these changes, it’s best to check Sony Pictures Core at the start of each month. You can download the app from the PlayStation Store on your PS4, or find it in the Media section of the PS5 home menu.
