In celebration of the release of its mid-Season 14 update, Overwatch 2 is offering the Synthwave Lifeweaver Epic skin and Synth Lotus spray as Twitch Drops to viewers. To claim these cosmetics, fans just need to watch up to four hours of any Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch between now and January 31.

Just now, the mid-Season 14 update for Overwatch 2 was released, featuring balance adjustments for heroes, new cosmetics, and other improvements. This update also initiated a 6v6 game format experiment called Min 1, Max 3, as well as the Year of the Snake in-game events. Overwatch: Classic and Valentine’s Day events will start two weeks later.

Starting now until the end of January, gamers don’t necessarily need to play Overwatch 2 to receive some exciting in-game cosmetics to commemorate the new update. By watching a total of four hours of any Overwatch 2 streamer on Twitch, fans can secure the Synthwave Lifeweaver Epic Skin, along with the coordinating Synth Lotus spray. The skin becomes available at the two-hour mark of viewing. To ensure they receive these items, players simply need to link their Battle.net and Twitch accounts, then claim them on Twitch. Afterward, the cosmetics will appear in their collections on Battle.net.

How to Get Overwatch 2 Mid-Season 14 Twitch Drops

  • Connect one’s Battle.net and Twitch accounts, then watch any Overwatch 2 streamers on Twitch from now through January 31, 11:58 AM PST, to earn the following cosmetics:
    • 2 hours: Synthwave Lifeweaver Epic skin
    • 4 hours: Synth Lotus Lifeweaver spray

In August 2023, a special deal was presented featuring Synthwave Lifeweaver and Synth Lotus Spray as a package for 1200 Overwatch Coins, or paired with the Synthwave Tracer bundle at a cost of 2500 Overwatch Coins. However, it’s worth noting that the Sigh… voice line which was previously included in the original Synthwave Lifeweaver bundle is not part of this new Twitch Drop offer.

Unfortunately, those who had already bought the Epic Synthwave Lifeweaver skin for Overwatch 2 won’t be able to claim this Twitch Drop. Unlike the Own Guardian Mercy, which was refunded to players when it later became a Prime Gaming reward in 2023, Blizzard has not issued refunds for any other promotions since then.

During the Chinese New Year event of Overwatch 2, running from now until February 3, players have an opportunity to collect a set of themed cosmetics such as player icon, name card, spray, and Juno voice line by completing in-game challenges. Following this, the Valentine’s Day event will start on February 4, offering more in-game challenges and rewards for participants. Overwatch 2 Season 15 kicks off when the second holiday ends on February 18, and it’s likely that a Twitch Drop campaign will follow to celebrate the new update.
