The “Growing Up” event for Pokemon GO starts on May 2, 2025, at 10 AM local time and ends on May 7, 2025, at 8 PM local time. During this period, you have the opportunity to engage in Field Research quests, Premium Timed Research quests, and a Collection Challenge. Finishing these in-game activities will yield Incubators, Pinap Berries, Stardust, and additional rewards. Pokemon GO‘s Maturity Field Research consists of 3 assignments offering various prizes. Successfully finishing two of these Field Research assignments could result in an encounter with a Magikarp, Wailmer, Swablu, or Wimpod. If you’re fortunate, you may stumble upon Shiny Swablu, Shiny Magikarp, or other Shiny Pokemon instead.

Pokemon GO Growing Up: Paid Timed Research Tasks & Rewards
The special timed research for Pokemon GO, called “Growing Up,” is now available for purchase at a cost of $4.99 (or its equivalent in your local currency). This research only has one step, but it comes with several tasks and prizes.
