Unlock Every Hidden Part in Armored Core: The Ultimate Guide!

With the arrival of “Armored Core” on PlayStation Plus, many gamers will embark on their initial journey in this iconic series. Although the game may be challenging for beginners, it excels in customization and strategic planning, urging you to tailor and fine-tune your AC for every mission you undertake. Since the game lets you resell components at their original purchase price back to the store, you have the freedom to swap and test various parts within your budget constraints.

In Armored Core, while a good chunk of its components can be bought from the store, some extremely valuable and hard-to-find AC Parts can only be discovered by completing missions. Ranging from iconic weapons like the Moonlight Greatsword and the fearsome WG-1-Karasawa to essential internal components such as the GBG-XR Generator or the QX-AF Fire-Control System, these parts significantly enhance your arsenal choices.

WR-L24 (Back Part, Large Rocket)

In the mission titled “Eliminate Strikers,” the item WR-L24 is the Back Part we’re referring to. You can effortlessly locate this concealed piece because it’s situated right behind your starting position. A simple jump over an obstacle gives you access to it.

Speaking about the WR-L24 specifically, it’s an incredibly potent large rocket weapon boasting the longest range among all back weapons in the entire game. Its significant firepower and impressive range make it a formidable tool in numerous missions, luckily, you can obtain it relatively early in the game.

WG-1-KARASAWA (Right-hand Weapon, Laser Rifle)

In the Armored Core Series, the iconic Karasawa Laser Rifle makes its debut, and it can be acquired in the mission titled “Destroy the Fuel Depot.” Once you’ve destroyed the tanks in the initial large room, proceed into the second room. You’ll then need to fire at fuel tanks located on a platform high above the distant wall. Afterward, ascend to that area and search it thoroughly for the elusive Karasawa Laser Rifle.

The Karasawa is an exceptionally potent laser rifle capable of firing rapidly and destroying many opponents with just a few shots. However, due to its immense power, it’s quite heavy and can be cumbersome to carry. When given the opportunity, picking up this weapon can significantly simplify later levels. Just remember that it doesn’t work well with the LN-SSVR Humanoid Legs for an unexplained reason.

HD-X1487 (Head Part, Defensive Head)

During the mission “Guard Freight Train,” you’ll come across the Defensive Head Part HD-X1487. It’s located in a cargo container situated at a distance from the train tracks, within the depot. Keep searching and destroying these containers until you find the part inside one of them, then retrieve it.

The main component here, labeled as the “Comprehensive Sensing Module,” offers a wide array of sensors. However, its absence of an auto-mapping feature can make maneuvering rather cumbersome. If you are familiar with the layout of missions or possess strong navigational skills, this might not be a concern. The lack of radar, on the other hand, could pose some difficulty, although long-range enemy detection may not be crucial in this game, and you can opt for a rear component equipped with radar if required.

B-T001 (Booster, Regular Booster)

In the mission “Guard Factory Entrance,” you’ll find the BT-T001 Booster Part. This item is concealed within a container located in the north-eastern part of the map. As you approach it, the game will indicate that you’ve gone out of bounds.

For a highly effective option, consider choosing this lightweight yet potent booster. Being the lightest in the game, it’s an ideal selection for agile combat (AC) builds that prioritize weight reduction. Its low weight also offers additional freedom in other aspects of your AC build, making it a strong choice even when you’re opting for heavy weapon parts.

WM-S60/4 (Back Part, Small Missile)

In the mission “Secret Factory Recon,” tucked away in the southwest corner of the map, marked as ‘Out of Bounds’ on my HUD, I stumbled upon the WM-S60/4 – a formidable back-mounted missile weapon. This bad boy unleashes a barrage of four small missiles simultaneously and can lock onto four targets at once, making it an excellent choice for taking down multiple enemies or focusing all my firepower on one tough opponent.

RZT-333 (Back Part, Radar)

In this section, there’s a unique twist: You must intentionally fail the assigned mission, “Secure Wharf Warehouse,” in order to acquire the item. To do so, turn back from where you begin and forcefully open the warehouse next to you. Once inside, pick up the Radar that lies on the floor.

The RZT-333 is a radar unit designed to be worn on the back, offering the Air Combat (AC) team extended detection capabilities for both enemies and missiles at long ranges. This makes it an essential resource for understanding your battlefield scenario. It can detect objects up to 11,700 units away, and its specific type is referred to as “Octagon.

QX-AF (FCS, Wide and Shallow FCS)

To locate the QX-AF FCS component, start by joining the “Exterminate Organisms” mission initially. As you progress, make as many turns to the left as possible until you encounter a long path with openings on both sides. Keep moving forward until you’re forced to turn left again, and you’ll eventually reach the room where the Queen is situated. In this room, you’ll find the FCS part lying on the floor.

The Functional Control System (FCS) functions as the guidance system for your airborne device, setting the dimensions and form of the locking mechanism. Specifically, this FCS offers a wide horizontal lock box and enables two concurrent lock-ons with quick lock-on response.

WG-FG99 (Right-Hand Weapon, Flamethrower)

To obtain a WG-FG99 Flamethrower, follow these steps: First, complete the mission titled “Destroy Intruders”. After that, move forward and descend to a bridge situated slightly lower. Turn left and glance beneath the bridge you just jumped from. You’ll notice a hole in the wall below. Inside this hole, you’ll find a container which can be broken open to reveal the WG-FG99.

This tool performs exceptionally well in close combat situations, and given its exceptionally limited range (the shortest among all right-hand weapons in the game), it can only be effectively utilized in such scenarios. If you excel in close-quarter fights, then this is an ideal weapon for you to wield.

GBG-XR (Generator)

To find the heaviest generator with the greatest maximum charge, you should look for it during the mission titled “Destroy Plus Escapee.” At the onset of the mission, veer to the right, jump off the lift and fly down to a walkway (refer to image 2), then continue jumping and flying down to a second, lower walkway where the part is located (image 3).

This powerhouse generator boasts both impressive heft and potency, offering the greatest maximum charge among all generators within the game, as well as exceptional performance. Consequently, it stands out as an exceptional selection for any AC unit capable of supporting its weight.

WX-S800-GF (Back Part, Dual Missile)

In the mission “Retake Air Cleaner,” you’ll encounter an impressive dual missile component. Located in a spacious room depicted in the second image, your task is to forcefully open the vent marked with a circle and ascend into it. Within this vent, you’ll discover the WX-S800-GF.

This potent missile component simultaneously launches six missiles upon a single target lock, boasting the greatest destructive power of any dual-barreled weapon available. However, it comes at a cost – it consumes more energy than any other weapon in its class to make up for this immense power. Additionally, it’s the lightest weapon within this category, which is beneficial for weight management if your generator can accommodate it.

LS-99-Moonlight (Left-Hand Weapon, Blade)

In your adventure, you’ll come across the illustrious Moonlight Greatsword, transformed into a laser blade, during the mission titled “Subdue ‘Struggle’ Leader.” Throughout this mission, there comes a point where you’ll need to ascend through the ceiling, guiding you along a long corridor where flames periodically rain down.

As you progress, you’ll encounter a section of the corridor with a floor that needs to be breached. After creating a hole in the floor at an appropriate location, lower yourself gently to the bottom of the chasm hidden beneath it. Once there, rotate and carefully examine the depths of the chasm. Buried deep within, you’ll discover an Altar bearing the LS-99-Moonlight artifact.

The LS-99-Moonlight is undeniably the top-notch laser sword in the entire game, and hunting it down is certainly worth your efforts. It boasts the highest power and minimum energy consumption among all laser swords. However, its extraordinary power comes with a hefty energy drain, the largest of any laser sword. If you possess the Blade Wave Human Plus skill, this blade will unleash blue explosive beams when wielded, making it even more formidable.
