Unlock Extra Accessory Slots in Palworld with These Simple Tips!

As you traverse the diverse islands of Palworld, you’ll stumble upon numerous treasure chests brimming with enticing loot. This loot can vary from mouth-watering food items to elusive Pal Spheres. Regular finds include accessories like the , , and Multiclimate Undershirt. You might also come across craftable accessories, such as Jump Boots.

Although Palworld boasts more than 50 distinct accessory options, players initially have just two accessory slots at their disposal. Essential accessories like the Multiclimate Undershirt, which removes the need to change armors when moving between hot and cold areas, or Jump and Dash Boots, which offer additional actions for both combat and exploration, are popular choices for these limited slots. Since you may find yourself with excess accessories in your inventory and needing to swap them frequently, Palworld provides a method for expanding accessory slots. Here’s how you can increase the number of slots available.

How to Unlock More Accessory Slots in Palworld

To add more accessory spaces, you’ll need to acquire two specific items: the “Mysterious Accessory Box” and the “Box of Mysterious Accessories,” which can be found at the Medal Merchants. Each item adds one additional accessory slot to your inventory. By buying both, you will have a total of four accessory slots available.

Before venturing to find Medal Merchants in this game, it’s essential to gather a unique form of currency known as “Dog Coins.” Unlike ordinary gold vendors, these merchants exclusively deal with Dog Coins. To obtain the Mysterious Accessory Box, you’ll need 100 Dog Coins, and for the Box of Mysterious Accessories, you’ll require a grand total of 1,000 Dog Coins. These items are considered key items, so once purchased, they are yours to keep forever.

How to Get Dog Coins in Palworld

In the game Palworld, you can get Dog Coins in various ways, but one of the most productive strategies is by defeating rare creatures known as Mimogs. These Mimogs resemble chests and can be found on islands like Sakurajima Island, Twilight Dunes, Bamboo Groves, and Mount Obsidian. Defeating a Mimog will result in a drop of approximately 15 to 20 Dog Coins.

But don’t be fooled by the notion that defeating Mimog is straightforward; it’s more complicated than it seems. When provoked, it can sprint away at an extraordinary speed and vanish without a trace. To make matters worse, it mimics the appearance of a stationary treasure chest, making it difficult to spot. The most effective strategy would be to inflict a one-shot kill or deliver heavy damage to stun it briefly, allowing you ample time to finish it off.

To achieve superior outcomes, consider expediting your journey and investigate the desolate landscapes surrounding Sakurajima Island and Twilight Dunes during the night. This is when Pals exhibit a luminous glow, making it simpler to identify Mimogs in the flat, radiant white desert terrain.

Here are some other ways to get Dog Coins:

  1. Scavenging junk piles on islands (commonly found near beaches).
  2. Completing Sakurajima Expeditions.
  3. Looting chests that require Pals with specific work suitabilities.
  4. Looting chests in the Oil Rig Stronghold.

Where to Find Medal Merchants in Palworld

As a supporter, I’d like to share that unique Non-Player Characters (NPCs) known as Medal Merchants are scattered around our game world. These NPCs offer an array of accessories and cosmetics in exchange for Dog Coins. They bear a resemblance to Black Marketeers, but they can be distinguished by their yellow robes instead of the traditional black attire. Keep your eyes peeled, you might encounter these merchants inside church ruins at the following locations:

  • Desolate Church (63, -416)
  • Sea Breeze Archipelago Church (-73, -551)
  • Marsh Island Church (399, -276)
  • Forgotten Island Church (-461, -13)

When you come across a merchant selling medals, engage with them to enter their store and buy the “Enigmatic Trinket Chest” and “Mystery Trinket Assortment”. These purchases will grant you an extra pair of accessory slots.

In my experience, if you can’t spot the Medal Merchant at one of the designated spots, don’t hesitate to check out another church or linger around the provided coordinates for a while. Sometimes, this NPC might take a bit longer to show up in the game. Happy hunting!
