How to Start The Twisted Tree:
During the main quest called “Inside Help”, Ujimasa offers a task known as “The Twisted Tree“. Although interacting with him initially helps in getting rid of the Takahashi family before assisting you with “The Fool“, it’s not necessary to speak to Ujimasa to initiate “The Twisted Tree“. The objectives will be present in the game regardless. This quest, which provides valuable early-game rewards, is worth completing as soon as possible.

The members of the Takahashi family can be located across different areas within Kyoto, Yamashiro, making it convenient as you won’t need to travel extensively to meet them all.
Wait until after you’ve defeated Inoshichi to pursue Ichi-Hime. The Takahashi siblings, Ichi-Hime and Goro, should be spared. However, it’s crucial that you eliminate Inoshichi Takahashi before meeting Ichi-Hime because she thinks she can’t gain freedom until he is out of the picture. Ensure that when encountering them, your weapons are not visible, and you have no active Warrant in Yamashiro.

| Goro Takahashi | Shokokuji Temple, Kyoto – Goro can be found at the northeast end of Shokokuji Temple, standing guard in front of an abandoned building. If you approach him slowly, with weapon sheathed, you’ll be prompted to either kill or spare him. The general feeling is that sparing him is the better outcome.
