In the world of Atomfall, the Protocol poses a significant threat. Equipped with an arsenal and backed by B.A.R.D. Robots, they’re formidable indeed. However, it seems they might have some extra firepower to spare. Your task is to infiltrate their armory hidden away in Skethermoor.

Fortunately, the Protocol doesn’t have strong security for its gun vault. This means you can break into the Protocol Armory and snatch a seldom-seen, high-powered weapon. All you need is to locate the keycard for Atomfall’s Protocol Armory.

How to Get to the Protocol Camp in Atomfall

In the territory known as Skethermoor, the Protocol maintains a strong grip. You’ll encounter their soldiers and fortifications everywhere, including numerous bunkers and garrisons. The most remarkable landmark within Skethermoor is the Skethermoor Prison. Just outside the prison lies the main Protocol Encampment, marked on the map at coordinates 39.9 E, 71.4 N. It’s this very camp where we seek the Armory.

Instead of simply navigating to your destination after passing through Wyndham Village, it might be more advantageous to win over Captain Sims, who is based at the Village Hall in Wyndham. You can find this location at coordinates 33.4E, 79.3N on the map.

After talking to him and answering his inquiries, he’ll request information about the village. If you’ve initiated either The Bakery or St. Katherine’s Church quest, you can update him on that mission. Sharing this intelligence will earn his trust, enabling you to enter Skethermoor Prison and its surrounding Protocol Camp without encountering resistance from his soldiers.

Informing Captain Sims about these side quests often results in them being concluded too early, thus missing the opportunity to earn rewards upon their completion. A more effective approach would be to complete the side quests first and later share the details with Captain Sims.

How to Get the Protocol Armoury Key In Skethermoor

Look for a Green Desk

Now, you have the liberty to explore Protocol Camp situated beyond Skethermoor Prison without any provocation from soldiers leading to an attack. As you roam about this camp, keep your eyes open as you might accidentally discover the Protocol Arsenal, located at coordinates 39.3 E, 71.5 N. Beware, it’s fortified with turrets and secured tightly.

It appears that the Protocol troops strongly dislike it when you activate the Signal Redirector on their turrets or electrical equipment. If you intend to use the Redirector near them, make sure to do so discreetly, as they might become aggressive if they catch you in the act.

To enter, locate the building labeled as ‘Access Control’ at the coordinates 40.6 E, 71.3 N. Once inside, you’ll find the Armoury Key resting on a green desk beside a note titled “Signalling The Wall.” Grab it and make your way back to the Armory. With this key, you can unlock the door without causing trouble with the Protocol soldiers or triggering the alarms.

Navigate to the armory at the rear portion of the room. You’ll come across two cells brimming with loot, including a bow stacked high with arrows. However, the most valuable item you’ll find here is a high-grade Enfield LMG. This fully automatic machine gun has the power to disintegrate tough adversaries. It’s an exceptional weapon, but be cautious as holding down the trigger can swiftly deplete your rifle ammo. Make off with the remaining items in the armory without alerting the Protocol to any suspicious activity.
