Unlock Snorkeling & Diving Secrets in Hello Kitty Island Adventure!

Exploring Hello Kitty Island offers various means of transportation such as running, rapid travel, ziplines, and a climbing system reminiscent of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” Initially, water poses a risk, but with time, you’ll master swimming, followed by diving skills.

Mastering both swimming and diving techniques is crucial in “Hello Kitty Island Adventure” to traverse every island and delve into all hidden underwater regions within the game. This tutorial will walk you through the process of diving and obtaining a snorkel in “Hello Kitty Island Adventure”.

How To Unlock The Snorkel In Hello Kitty Island Adventure

First, Get The Flippers, Then Increase Your Friendship With Kuromi

In order to acquire the Snorkel, you need to first finish the quest called ‘Deep Diving’. After completing this quest, use the recipe for the Snorkel that you receive as a reward. To learn diving skills before starting this quest, there are some prerequisites within the game ‘Hello Kitty Island Adventure’.

  • Unlock the ability to swim with Flippers. You will get the Flippers Recipe from Keroppi when he reaches Friendship Level 2.
  • Increase your Friendship with Kuromi to Level 6. You will also need to complete her first quest, ‘Re-Haunt The Spooky Swamp’, which becomes available at Friendship Level 4.

Kuromi has a fondness for spooky items, particularly Jack-O-Lanterns. Give her a few of these pumpkin decorations (and employ a Friendship Blossom for additional daily gifts) to elevate your friendship with her up to level 6, once you successfully navigate the Mansion.

Once Friendship Level 6 is achieved, make your way northwest from the fast travel spot near the Spooky Swamp towards a secluded pond. There, converse with Kuromi who expresses concern over her lost locket in the water. She will supply you with a Snorkel for the purpose of this quest, named ‘Deep Diving’.

‘Deep Diving’ Quest & How To Dive In Hello Kitty Island Adventure

To start off, players embarking on Hello Kitty Island Adventure should leap into the water and submerge themselves by moving down using the right analog stick (or the indicated input on the screen’s right side). The depth of your dive can be adjusted with the analog stick, but remember that your Stamina will deplete more rapidly as you descend deeper beneath the surface.

Instead of exerting much energy, it’s more efficient to swim towards the water’s surface when you’re in a life-threatening situation due to drowning, as this action helps rejuvenate your strength or energy levels.

You can swim approximately 2-3 seconds upward from the dock where Kuromi is positioned, and then submerge yourself underwater, as the locket is not far from that spot. There’s no need for any Golden Stamina Apple upgrades to reach the necessary depth to locate it.

Find Kuromi’s Locket, Then Craft A Snorkel Of Your Own

To finish the mission called ‘Deep Diving’, first locate Kuromi’s Locket at the bottom of the lake near the end of the dock, then scoop it up and swim to the surface. After that, present it to Kuromi to complete your task. Following this, she will return her snorkel and forbid you from using it any further.

As a friendly gesture, I’ll pass on the blueprint for a Snorkel to you, my fellow gamer! To craft this handy underwater tool, you’ll need 2 pieces of Ingot, 10 bits of Rubber, and 2 sparks of magic (or whatever it is that powers our in-game tools). Happy crafting!

  • Ingots can be found in Chests, and you can craft one with 3x Iron Ore if you have the Ingot Crafting Plans. This recipe can be found just to the left of the Dance Hall in Gemstone Mountain.
  • Rubber can be found on the ground on the Seaside Resort island. Look for what appears to be a small purple ball to find Rubber.
  • Sparks can be found in Chests, or crafted with the Spark Crafting Recipe with 3x Light Stones. This recipe is rewarded by Pochacco after completing the Friendship Level 4 quest ‘A Zipline Adventure’.

After gathering all necessary items, return to Chococat’s workbench to create your personal Snorkel. Similar to the flippers, the Snorkel will automatically be in use, triggering the Dive In action once you immerse yourself in water that is deep enough.

In essence, the main body of the “Hello Kitty Island Adventure” map consists mostly of navigable waters, and it’s with great excitement that I inform you that you can now encounter Hangyodon and bestow the concluding Welcome Gift for My Melody!
