Blue Prince is a puzzle-based adventure where you aim to discover Room 46. To claim your rightful inheritance as your great uncle’s true heir at the game’s conclusion, you’ll navigate numerous rooms and collect various items along the way by solving puzzles.
Among the various things you can gather, there are Stars, but these can only be obtained from the mysterious locations known as Observatories, which are associated with the Blue Prince. However, understanding how to use the Stars and what rewards they provide may not be immediately clear to all players.
All Constellations for the Observatory in Blue Prince
In the observatory within Blue Prince, there’s a book where all the constellations you can unlock are located. One of the things you can hold onto between gameplay sessions are stars, and by collecting more, you’ll earn increasingly better rewards over time. The game offers a total of eleven different constellations to be discovered in Blue Prince.
- North Star: 1 Star, +1 gold Blue Prince coins.
- The Twins: 2 Stars, two Blue Prince locked trunks appear in the starting room.
- The Slice: 3 Stars, +3 steps.
- Diamondus Minor: 4 Stars, +1 gem.
- The Southern Cross: 5 Stars, rooms with four doors are more common.
- Farmer’s Apple: 7 Stars, apples eaten give +5 steps.
- Clavis, the Key: 8 Stars, +1 key.
- Diamondus Major: 11 Stars, +5 Blue Prince gems.
- Draxus, the Dead: 12 Stars, Dead End rooms are more common.
- The Sail: 15 Stars, everything is 50% off in the stores.
- Florealla, Bloom of the Sky: 20 Stars, green rooms are more likely to contain special flowers.
In simpler terms, if the number of stars you have is not found in this particular list, it will provide you with a pairing of two constellations from the lower-ranked ones. For instance, having nine stars might result in a combination like Diamondus Minor and The Southern Cross joining together to make up that total.
How to Get (and Use) Stars in Blue Prince
Each occasion you construct an Observatory and venture within for the initial visit, you’ll acquire a permanent Star. Once obtained, this Star remains with you throughout your play session, without the need to expend Stars to receive the benefits detailed above.
As an enthusiastic stargazer, here’s how I’d set up my telescope at the observatory: Climb the stairs and give a gentle turn to the wheel once, lifting the telescope into position. Then, keep cranking the handle connected to the telescope until it aligns perfectly with the opening above. Now, whenever I peer through the eyepiece, I’m treated to a daily dose of cosmic wonder!
