Launched on March 25th, the 29th expansion for Hearthstone is titled “Into the Emerald Dream.” Similar to its preceding expansion, The Great Dark Beyond, it delves further into the World of Warcraft’s lore, specifically the Emerald Dream. This time, the conflict between the Druids and the Old Gods shapes the destiny of the World Tree. As with previous expansions, this one introduces new cards for players to collect, totaling 145 in number. The narrative of the expansion revolves around two new abilities: Dark Gift, which boosts minion strengths through Discovery effects, and Imbue, where cards alter the hero’s power with a fresh one. Recently, Blizzard has hinted at additional cards being added to the game soon.
The popular card game Hearthstone has announced its Embers of the World Tree mini-expansion set, due for release on May 13. The standard version of this mini-set can be purchased for $14.99 or 2,000 Gold, while the premium version with all gold cards is available for $69.99 or 10,000 Gold. New Hearthstone Mini-Set Continues to Explore the Warcraft Universe
Building on the narrative from Into the Emerald Dream, the Embers of the World Tree mini-set centers around a Warcraft Raid called Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope, where the Druids of the Flame engage in conflict with the World Tree. In total, this mini-set will consist of 72 copies of its 38 cards, available either individually in packs or as a complete set. At present, we know 16 of these cards: three for each of the Rogue, Mage, and Hunter classes; two for both the Death Knight and Druid classes; and three Neutral cards – Living Flame, Petal Picker, and Zaqali Flamemancer.
The mini-set titled “Embers of the World Tree” is a component of the “Year of the Raptor,” which marks the beginning of the Standard format on March 25th. As part of Hearthstone’s 2025 plan, players can anticipate two additional expansions: “The Shrouded City” and “The Heroes of Time.” In addition to these expansions, Hearthstone will also unveil mini-sets as complementary content, with further information about them to be disclosed in the upcoming months.
