In Lords of the Fallen, you’ll find yourself navigating through vast, interconnected locales teeming with hidden threats and treasures waiting to be discovered around every bend. The game nudges you towards exploration, but certain zones remain inaccessible until you acquire specific advancement items – tasks that fall on your shoulders to uncover.
In Lords of the Fallen, you’ll eventually come across the Fief Key, which becomes available after a brief period in the game. This key serves as the gateway to a significant location. Here’s a breakdown on how to get your hands on the Fief Key and where to venture once it’s in your possession.
It might not be wise to rush to the Fief of the Chilling Curse right away, given that you may find it challenging due to tougher opponents and bosses if you’re currently underleveled.
How To Get The Fief Key in Lords of the Fallen

To get the “Fief Key”, gamers need to advance through the primary zones until they arrive at the “Vestige of Olleren” in the “Forsaken Fen Lookout”. From this point, stick to the main trail and you’ll come across a big hole where you’ll encounter “The Congregator of Flesh”. This is one of the simpler boss battles in the game, and overcoming it lets you venture deeper into “Forsaken Fen”. Following the defeat of the boss, return to the “Skyrest Bridge”. Near the main Vestige, you’ll find “Andreas of Ebb”, who has moved and will share information about a frozen area and the woods, granting you the Fief Key.
It’s worth mentioning that should the player advance significantly in the game without speaking to Andreas of Ebb, they will proceed to their next destination, leaving the Skyrest Bridge behind. However, it’s possible to collect the Fief Key from where Andreas was standing on the Skyrest Bridge before he moved on.
Where To Use The Fief Key in Lords of the Fallen

Once you’ve obtained the Fief Key, make your way to Marco the Axe’s Vestige and approach the bell door that lies ahead. Remember, this door stays locked throughout the game unless you have the Fief Key, which Andreas has recently given you. Walk up to the door, interact with it, and voila! It unlocks, enabling your progress into a new area known as the “Fief of the Chilling Curse”.
If you’re pondering whether to check out this spot as a player, remember it’s one of the places where you’ll find a Beacon. Interacting with or cleansing it is crucial for both scenarios you’re exploring in your ongoing gameplay.
