In the fourth chapter of Poppy Playtime, after successfully navigating the minecart puzzle and entering No Man’s Land, gamers encounter a sequence of electrical wiring puzzles. The first step is activating Machine Stations using Hand Scanners. However, these puzzles become quite challenging due to Yarnby’s presence in the area, as he aggressively attacks players at sight. To overcome this objective, you’ll need to employ a strategic approach. Here are some steps to help you along.
How to Activate Machine Stations Via Hand Scanners in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
In Chapter 4 of “Poppy Playtime,” stepping into No Man’s Land puts you on Yarnby’s tail, ramping up the challenge of solving puzzles. Fortunately, there are nooks and crannies within walls and pipes that offer temporary refuge, allowing you to catch your breath and let Yarnby pass by. When you find yourself in one of No Man’s Land’s facilities, you’ll need a similar evasive approach.
Here’s how you can fulfill the “Power Up Machine Stations via Hand Scanners” objective.
Entering the Facility
Initially, redirect the power supply from the main power source to the scanner located close to a sealed shutter. Use your blue hand to scan it, then slip into the narrow space beside the scanner and conceal yourself until Yarnby enters the air vents.
After ensuring the area is safe, proceed through the entrance and flip the switch beside the terminal to activate the entire facility. You’ll then find yourself tasked with activating three machine stations within this vicinity, but beware as Yarnby may appear within the same room to add an extra challenge.
Activating Three Machine Stations
Begin by making your way to the first control station, situated a few steps below near the power hub. Swiftly descend to the control station and initiate it by waving your blue-hued hand. Yarnby will likely pick up your presence halfway through activating the initial system, so prepare to conceal yourself in the adjoining space to the left when needed. Once Yarnby has passed, continue scanning the first system until your objective adjusts and instructs you to activate the remaining systems.
The second machine is located on the same floor as the first one, however, it’s situated at the opposite end of the building. To locate it, head towards the northwest corner of the facility, where you will find it tucked under a set of stairs. Begin scanning the machine system, but if Yarnby detects you, move towards the area behind the barrels for cover. Be vigilant about the stairs both above and next to the machine station as Yarnby may be lurking there.
Once the second scanner has finished its job, climb the stairs located next to the barrels to reach the final machine station. From your vantage point at the top of the stairs, aim for the blue hand and fire it towards the scanner from a distance. After firing, carefully descend the stairs. Wait until the activation process is over, and Yarnby will be drawn safely towards the machine station itself.
Escaping the Facility and Entering the Next Section
After activating all three machines, wait for Yarnby to move a considerable distance from you before making a swift exit from the facility. Ensure that the electricity flows to the terminal located outside the facility (wire on the upper right corner of the electrical hub).
In the terminal, the red button has been activated. Give it a press, then make your way to the main zone so electricity flows to the drawbridge. This action will allow you to advance into the next section of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.
