In Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, characters will break out of the Prison Yard, run into Yarnby and Doey, then head towards the Save Haven. But, they’ll face an obstacle that needs resolving first if they want to reach the Safe Haven and meet Poppy and Kissy Missy. Doey informs the players that the generator is malfunctioning, explaining why it stays off. However, he mentions that by turning on the generator, he can activate a switch downstairs, allowing the players to insert gears into the door mechanism in order to open it.

How to Solve the Generator Cogwheels Puzzle in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4

As gamers step into the dimly lit tunnel, they’ll encounter an unoccupied battery control panel. Doey extends its arm towards them, presenting a battery to help energize the system and set the door’s gear mechanism in motion. Upon turning around and moving through the first doorway on your left, you’ll find the gear mechanism for that door. Regrettably, it’s missing three gears that are essential for unlocking the entrance to the next section of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.

Here’s how to do it.

Finding Three Cogwheels

To locate the initial gear, proceed by turning to your right from the machinery and venturing into the labyrinthine layout of interconnected wire fences. You’ll find the gear resting on a workbench within this intricate structure.

Heading back out from the first section, I found myself in the hallway again. To proceed with the second and third cogwheels, I needed to venture into another part of the structure. There, a towering stack of boxes caught my eye on the left side. With a bit of effort, I managed to move those boxes aside, revealing the larger cogwheel hidden beneath.

To find the final cogwheel, make a U-turn and then veer left. You’ll see a cogwheel (sporting a silver edge) tucked beneath a shelf. With this one, you now have all three cogwheels in your possession.

Inserting Cogwheels into the Door Mechanism

After gathering all three cogwheels, return to the mechanism. Now it’s time for you to place them inside the larger apparatus. The smallest cogwheel should be put on the right side, while the third one with a silver edge goes in the center. Lastly, the largest cogwheel belongs in the left slot.

Once you’ve properly inserted all the gears into the device, the door will swing open, granting access for players to advance to a new location within Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.
