Unlock the Secrets of Miscarcand: Your Ultimate Guide to Oblivion Remastered!

In my gaming adventure with Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, I’ll be embarking on numerous quests. One of these missions will have me tracking down one of the powerful Welkynd Stones. As far as I know, the only place where one of these stones can be found is within the ruins of Miscarcand.

In the game “Oblivion Remastered”, players will find themselves on the “Miscarcand” quest, which is distributed by a character named Martin Sptim. As players progress through the main storyline, they’ll likely encounter Martin Sptim. However, there are multiple paths to begin this game, so it’s possible for players to stumble upon the Miscarcand dungeon even before they meet Martin Sptim.

How to Unlock Miscarcand Iron Gate in Oblivion Remastered

To find the Miscarcand dungeon, navigate between Kvatch and Skingrad on your map. Specifically, go to a point slightly to the right of where Kvatch is labeled. Keep moving in that direction until Miscarcand shows up on your compass. Once you reach it, take the spiral staircase, and your quest should automatically update.

Here is a step-by-step guide to navigating this dungeon:

  • As players enter this dungeon, they will head down some stairs where they will encounter an enemy.
  • After dealing with this enemy, they must continue to head west through the dungeon until they come to a split in their path.
  • Take the left path and go through the gate.
  • Players will find themselves on a bridge. Jump down and use the doorway on the west wall. Head up a flight of stairs, and there will be a button in this room.
  • Press the button, then head up the stairs to the left of it.
  • Make a right turn at the top of the stairs and walk onto the pressure plate.
  • Go through the square gate that opens.
  • Head south to get back to the bridge you jumped from.
  • Follow along this bridge to find a door called “Stone Door to Miscarcand, Sel Vanua”
  • Proceed through this door.

Miscarcand Great Welkynd Stone Location in Oblivion Remastered

After you step through the door, proceed directly towards a spacious chamber teeming with goblins. Eliminate each of these goblins to simplify matters. Guiding them towards the entrance before the room will help you contain them more easily.

In this room, you’ll find a button mounted on the wall. Give it a press when you’re ready, and it will lift the protective cage surrounding the Varla Stone.

As a keen explorer, I’d recommend veering southeast and passing through the gate ahead. After that, keep moving eastward. When you come across some steps leading down, take them, and you’ll discover a spacious chamber. Stick to the southern wall and look for an open door, which you should go through. This will lead you into a narrow passageway. Continue following the southern wall while heading east, and you’ll eventually find a button or lever that you can press.

Upon pressing this block, make your way directly northwards to locate the “Stone Door to Miscarand, Morimath”. Proceed through the tunnel and when you reach a junction, take the initial turn to your left. Then, take the following left turn so that you are moving westward according to the compass.

Make a save as there will be a lot of enemies ahead.

Make your way to the gate, then walk along the path till you spot a radiant stone. Approach that stone and pick it up to receive an update on your quest. Keep in mind that there are numerous Welkynd Stones scattered throughout the game, but this one is the mighty Great Welkynd Stone.

Reverse your direction and cross the bridge behind you. Continue moving north, and you’ll encounter the King of Miscarcand. Defeat this foe and gather a key from their possessions. Locate the room tucked against the northern wall, and inside you’ll discover a pressure-sensitive platform. Activating this platform will carve out a pathway heading west towards a gate for you to pass through.

To locate the “Stone Door to Miscarcand,” traverse the passages and ascend the staircases. Enter this door and tread on the floor plate within the room it opens into. The wall before you will then lower, enabling you straight progress towards the dungeon’s exit. Make your way to the quest marker to complete the mission.
