The Candle Circle Puzzle in Blue Prince

Upon entering the room once called an Abandoned Mine, you’ll discover a cluster of candles encircling a symbol that stands tall on a pedestal at its heart. This pedestal bears part of a map, though it won’t be instrumental in resolving the current conundrum. The symbol holds significance for the Sigils riddle within Blue Prince, yet it remains disconnected from the enigma posed by the candles.

To engage with the circle of candles located in the Abandoned Mine beneath the manor, you’ll need an object capable of igniting the candles. There are two distinct items that can ignite things: the Burning Glass and the Torch that has been lit. The Burning Glass can be obtained by finding a Magnifying Glass and a Metal Detector, then combining them using the Workroom. On the other hand, the Torch is typically acquired later in the game as it requires solving the Chess Puzzle in Blue Prince.

Lighting the Candles in Blue Prince

After obtaining the Burning Glass, you may return to the Forgotten Mine. To ignite the wick on the screen’s center dot, align it with the candle and wait for the flaming icon to appear. Click the interact button, and the Burning Glass will set the candle alight. Repeat this step for all candles within the Abandoned Mine chamber. Once they are all ablaze, a hidden staircase will descend beneath you, granting access to an unexplored region.
