In the game Pokemon GO, having Scattered to the Winds events with Scatterbug increases your chance of discovering a Shiny variant. To encounter this Shiny Scatterbug, you need to pin multiple postcards received from friends hailing from a particular region on your in-game map. You can pin up to 3 postcards each day. Fulfilling the daily pinning requirement may lead to a Shiny Scatterbug appearing. After evolving this Shiny Scatterbug from a specific region, you will receive a unique patterned Shiny Vivillon.

- Click on your Trainer Profile
- Scroll down until you navigate to the Vivillon Medal which is represented by a Butterfly icon.

It takes 25 pieces of Candy to evolve a Shiny Scatterbug into a Shiny Spewpa, while the cost for evolving a Shiny Spewpa into a Shiny Vivillon is set at 100 Candy.
You can get the required number of candies by catching and transferring several Scatterbug.
