3. Approach the water’s edge, ensuring you’re standing at least three feet away from it.
4. With your fishing rod in hand, press the appropriate button to cast your line into the water.
5. Wait for a fish to bite! When one does, your character will automatically reel it in. If you’re having trouble catching fish, consider using bait or lures to increase your chances.
6. Once caught, you can cook the fish yourself or give it to Ignis to prepare a dish that grants temporary stat boosts for the party. Happy fishing!

Preparing To Fish In Final Fantasy 15

Material Effects
Line The durability of how much pull your line can take before snapping and losing a fish.
Lure While most fish will bite just about any lure, some lures make catching specific kinds of fish much easier.

Reel Determines your “attack”, which is how easily a fish is reeled in once on the line.
