In the game known as “Blue Prince“, there are numerous riddles. Some of these mysteries can be unraveled in the very room they’re discovered, such as the Dartboard enigma, while others span a much larger area. The Blue Prince Chess Puzzle is an example of the latter type, a challenge that demands players to go through several playthroughs and fulfill specific conditions just to have a chance at solving it.
This tutorial walks you through locating and unraveling the Blue Prince Chess conundrum, elucidates the roles of each piece in the Blue Prince game, and hints at the rewards awaiting you upon solving this intriguing enigma.
Where To Find The Chess Puzzle in Blue Prince
Chess Puzzle Location & Requirements
In order to discover the “Blue Prince” Chess Puzzle, you’ll need to navigate to a secret location known as The Precipice. However, The Precipice remains concealed until you manage to ignite all four blue torches positioned on the stone overlook that lies eastward from the Estate’s entrance. To achieve this, search for and activate gas valves scattered throughout the Estate, which will cause the braziers at the overlook to illuminate.
After it’s turned on, an elevator ascends from beneath. Hop onto this elevator to make your way to the Precipice. Inside, you’ll discover the Chess Puzzle room on the right-hand side. In here, you’ll find a chessboard that bears a striking resemblance to the 9×5 arrangement of the Mt. Holly Estate, along with six Chess pieces: a Pawn, a Knight, a Rook, a Bishop, a Queen, and a King.
How To Solve The Blue Prince Chess Puzzle
Blue Prince Chess Puzzle, Explained
As you progress in the game until you stumble upon the Chess riddle, you might have observed that certain rooms hold Chess Pieces labeled as “Blue Prince”. Keep a record of the rooms where these Chess pieces are found during your adventure.
To conquer the Chess Puzzle, the Blue Prince team should arrange each of the six Chess figures accurately on the board, matching them with rooms in your present home where these items are located.
For instance, if your Den is where the Pawn piece is kept, then on the chessboard layout, position the Pawn at the corresponding square to your Den’s location within the house. When placed correctly, the square beneath the Pawn will illuminate.
Since the Chess puzzle is based on the structure and rooms present in today’s House plan, it would be beneficial to complete as many parts of the estate as possible (making sure to incorporate at least one room for each of the six pieces) before heading back to the Precipice.
Keep arranging each of the six Chess figures into their designated spaces according to the rooms in your manor. Once all six figures are correctly positioned, you will solve the Chess riddle. Players of the Blue Prince game can then select one of six lasting benefits corresponding to the positions of the Chess pieces.
