Unlock the Ultimate Hideout Upgrades in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Now!

In the game ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, characters Naoe and Yasuke will have the chance to construct and enhance a detailed ‘Base’. This feature is presented right at the start of the game and develops as you progress. Some players might think that the Base is only for aesthetic purposes, but it serves a more functional role. Many key advantages in ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ can be gained by constructing and upgrading various structures. In this guide, we’ll demonstrate which Base upgrades are most crucial for your success in ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’.

The Best Hideout Buildings and Upgrades in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe and Yasuke have numerous options to construct their personal Hideout with distinct advantages. Each building you erect offers a unique bonus, making it well worth your effort to build and enhance every possible structure in the game. That said, certain perks may prove more beneficial, particularly during the early stages of play.

In addition to benefits gained from constructing and enhancing structures at your Hideout, there are also rewards based on the total level of your Hideout. Each structure you place contributes to the overall level, and they all prove highly beneficial. Remember to revisit your Hideout frequently for construction purposes.

Right off the bat, it’s clear that prioritizing the creation of the Forge should be at the top of your to-do list when you begin playing. You’ll quickly discover that a critical quest involves enlisting the Blacksmith and constructing the Forge within the Hideout. Stables:

Upon your arrival at Tomiko’s home, where the stables are already constructed and eventually serve as our hideout, an action you should consider doing promptly is enhancing the stables to level 2. This improvement will be beneficial since it reduces the number of scouts needed to collect the materials you discover across the game world, which are the primary sources of crafting resources. Instead of requiring two scouts, only one will suffice.

This implies that you can gather numerous reserves of resources during each gaming phase, starting quite early on. This will significantly simplify your construction and improvement tasks for various buildings over time. To advance the Stables to Level 2, you’ll need the specified resources.

  • Crops: 70
  • Wood: 50
  • Minerals: 20

Kakurega & Study:

In the game, the Kakurega and Study structures complement each other since they both revolve around scouts and related mechanics. It’s advisable to prioritize improving the Kakurega first, which is already available at the beginning of the game. Enhancing the Kakurega to Level 2 is an excellent early decision you might consider making.

At the second tier, you’ll find two significant advantages: First, it grants you access to opportunities hidden within the Kakurega, revealing the locations of valuable Points of Interest (POIs) like Knowledge Points or Legendary Chests in the game world. Secondly, a highly useful feature is unlocked – if you’re marked as wanted in any region, you can dispatch scouts to clear your name for you. This proves particularly beneficial, especially during the mid-to-high difficulty levels of ‘AC Shadows’.

The Kakurega Level 2 upgrade requires the following materials:

  • Crops: 580
  • Wood: 440
  • Minerals: 150

The Study is an essential component to construct or enhance since it contributes to expanding our team of scouts and improving the quest scouting mechanism. Constructing the Study alone will bring on a new scout for the League, while simultaneously shrinking the search area for quests by 25%. This makes finding quest markers with scouts slightly more manageable.

The Study requires the following materials:

  • Crops: 60
  • Wood: 40
  • Minerals: 10

Zashiki:

The Zashiki structure is among the themed “Ration Boost Rooms”, offering only one unique advantage that cannot be enhanced in any way. This construction is particularly beneficial for players who frequently team up with Naoe, as her health bar doesn’t fully recover from the standard rations. However, it also benefits Yasuke, who starts with more rations and has a tankier character build. Upon constructing this room, rations will become 20% more effective.

Building the Zashiki room requires:

  • Crops: 90
  • Wood: 370
  • Minerals: 280
  • Mon: 960

In the game’s instructions for opening Zashiki in the builder, it is stated that you need to aid a merchant from Settsu. However, we are unsure which specific merchant they meant. After completing all the missions related to the People of Settsu, which appeared on the map as small diamond-shaped markers, it was then unlocked.

Nando:

In the room adorned with Nando decor, you won’t need to spend as much Mon to rejuvenate your scouts within Kakurega. Upon entering Kakurega, you’ll notice vibrant items suspended from the walls. Interact with these, and you can pay to revitalize your exhausted scouts before the seasons shift. Initially, it will cost 200 Mon per scout, but after constructing Nando, this price drops to 140 Mon per scout.

Nando requires the following materials:

  • Crops: 440
  • Wood: 330
  • Minerals: 110
  • Mon: 1160

Nando became available for us after we recruited 6 scouts.

Dojo:

In conclusion, if you’re among the players who enjoy summoning allies in ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, constructing the Dojo is a necessity. With the Dojo, you can elevate your allies from ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ to initiate level. By advancing it to level 2, you can arm two allies instead of one. The final upgrade allows you to advance allies to Veteran level. A fully-enhanced Dojo, combined with fully enhanced allies, creates an extraordinarily potent team when summoned.

To build and upgrade the Dojo, you’ll need the following items:

Dojo Level 1:

  • Crops: 350
  • Wood: 260
  • Minerals: 90

Dojo Level 2:

  • Crops:470
  • Wood: 350
  • Minerals:120

Dojo Level 3:

  • Crops: 700
  • Wood: 520
  • Minerals: 170

You need to recruit one ally before you will be able to build the Dojo.

Previously stated, the structures and enhancements you see earlier are merely a stepping stone. Each building and enhancement in Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a valuable bonus, making them worth every penny spent on them.

How to Build and Upgrade the Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

For newcomers to the game “AC Shadows”, ensure that you progress beyond the introduction (prologue) and encounter Tomiko. The Hideout building mechanic will become available during this early stage of the game, and it’s unlikely you’ll overlook it.

After meeting Tomiko and gaining her permission to utilize her house as our secret base, known as the Hideout, you will have two options for accessing it:

1. When you’re on the Hideout premises, just press the Y or Triangle button whenever a prompt appears.
2. Alternatively, head towards the main building that displays the Shinbakufu poster. To the left of this painting, you’ll notice a replica of Tomiko’s home. Approach the table in this room, and when prompted to ‘Upgrade Hideout’, press and hold down the Y or Triangle button to enter the builder mode.

In the “Hideout Overview” section of the Hideout Inspector, you can view Tomiko’s property from a bird’s eye perspective. Here, you can tailor your hideout. To access the build options, press ‘X’ or ‘Square’. This will show you all the construction projects at your disposal. To improve a building, simply hover over the desired building in the build menu and press ‘A’ or ‘X’. Alternatively, you can go back to the main Hideout Inspector menu, hover over the building you wish to upgrade, press ‘X’ or ‘A’, then choose ‘upgrade’ from the individual building menu.

The “Bird’s Eye View” in the Hideout Inspector is where Tomiko’s property is displayed from above. Here, you can adjust your hideout by pressing ‘X’ or ‘Square’. This will open up the build options, showing you all the construction projects that are available to you. To improve a building, either press ‘A’ or ‘X’ while the cursor is over the desired building in the build menu, or go back to the main Hideout Inspector, hover over the building you wish to upgrade, press ‘X’ or ‘A’, and select ‘upgrade’.
