Pokemon GO reveals that Urshifu will make its appearance on May 21 during the GO Battle Week event titled Final Strike, which is part of the Might and Mastery season. This season marks the 18th cycle in the game’s schedule, introducing numerous new Pokemon to maintain player interest.
In the updated version of Pokémon GO, players can now encounter Dynamax versions of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune for the first time, which are alternate forms of Johto’s legendary trio. Moving ahead, Applin recently joined the game in late April, while Kingambit is scheduled to appear in a future event. Additionally, developers have officially announced the arrival of an eagerly awaited pocket monster in the game soon.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that starting Wednesday, May 21, at 10 am, until Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 8 pm local time, the highly anticipated Pokemon GO Battle Week event is happening! This event marks the arrival of Urshifu in our game.
During this period, a new Seasonal Special Research will be rolled out, offering rewards like Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, encounters with Pokemon featuring Special Backgrounds, and more.
To evolve my trusty Kubfu into the Single Strike Style Urshifu, I’ll need to defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon while having Kubfu as my buddy, and gather 200 Kubfu Candies. Similarly, to obtain the Rapid Strike Style Urshifu, I’ll have to defeat 30 Water-type Pokémon with Kubfu as my buddy, and collect 200 Candy.
Get ready, fellow trainers! Let’s catch ’em all!
