Xur is back once more in Destiny 2, bringing along fresh exotic and legendary equipment for players to explore for a temporary duration. With Episode Heresy pausing between Acts, players get a moment’s respite as well as a chance to gather gear, including weapons from the recently introduced Sundered Doctrine dungeon.

This past week, Bungie rolled out an update for Destiny 2, addressing numerous glitches and problems in the game. Particular attention was given to activities such as Trials of Osiris and Sundered Doctrine, with many changes made to them. Additionally, Bungie took care to fine-tune specific exotic equipment like Speaker’s Sight, Blight Ranger, Lodestar, Finality’s Auger, Barrow-Dyad, among others.

Currently, the enigmatic merchant Xur has returned to Destiny 2 with fresh offerings. Here’s where you can find him this weekend, along with updates on his exotic cipher quest and a rundown of all the exotic and legendary items he’s bringing for the weekend of February 28, 2025.

Where is Xur?

Since Xur is now settled permanently within the Bazaar region at The Tower, there’s no need for weekend searches anymore.

Because the Marketplace lies in between the two quick travel spots, players have the option to select either one as their entry point. Navigate to the spot where Ikora and Hawthorne are usually seen, then search for the Ramen Shop situated near the back wall. With the shop facing you, the hidden alleyway leading to Xur can be found on your right side.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Each week, Xur carries on providing the standard quests, exotics, and high-quality gear. These tasks are essential for buying an additional fated engram and obtaining legacy exotic equipment from the Tower kiosk. Players can obtain a new cipher by completing strikes or winning in Crucible or Gambit matches. Earn extra points by teaming up with your clan members or taking on more difficult activities.

Xur’s Exotic Armor

Apotheosis Veil – Warlock helmet

Exotic Perk:

  • – Immediately regenerate health, melee, grenade, and Rift energy for you and your nearby allies upon activating your Super. After your Super ends, temporarily gain greatly increased melee and grenade regen.

Aeon Swift – Hunter gauntlets

Exotic Perk:

  • Aeon’s Wrath – Rapid precision hits with a weapon temporarily increase reload speed and weapon swap speed.
  • Foebreaker Chant – Stunning a Champion or landing rapid precision hits on a powerful combatant will mark them. Your allies deal increased damage to marked combatants. When a combatant is first marked, nearby Aeon Cult allies who do not have the Sect of Force role equipped gain grenade and melee energy.

Although this improved variation outperforms the original significantly, it remains a less mainstream choice and doesn’t pose a threat to overthrow any of the existing popular choices in the current meta.

Actium War Rig – Titan chest armor

Exotic Perk:

  • – Steadily reloads a portion of your equipped Auto Rifle’s or Machine Gun’s magazine from reserves. Provides a moderate benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of Auto Rifles and Machine Guns.

While the overall roll is nice, the distribution is not as Mobility is the high value.

Xur Inventory Items

In Destiny 2’s Year 7, Xur’s stock has been expanded significantly. This includes the introduction of a genuine rank advancement system, incentives, and customization options. Additionally, Xur now offers items beyond weapons and armor, such as:

This weekend, the renovation of Year 7’s Xur includes a feature that allows for the offering of several exotic weapons during a single visit. Here are the exotic items Xur currently carries:

Hawkmoon – Hand Cannon

  • – Final blows and precision hits with Hawkmoon grant stacks of Paracausal Charge. The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage based on the number of stacks. Stowing Hawkmoon on the final round removes this bonus.

The Huckleberry – SMG

  • – Larger magazine. Increased accuracy when firing from the hip. Picking up Special or Heavy ammo immediately reloads this weapon.
  • – Sustained fire boosts range and rate of fire.

Lord of Wolves – Shotgun

  • – Laser damage has three power levels that oscillate while the trigger is held down.
  • – Collecting an Orb of Power grants a period of maximum power that starts with an automatic reload. Sustained fire in this mode suppresses targets.

The Wardcliff Coil – Rocket Launcher

  • – Hold Reload to swap between scopes and alter this weapon’s firing behavior.
  • – Increases accuracy, stability, and precision hit targeting when firing from the hip.
  • Volatile Launch
