Summary
- The Chloranthy Ring increases Stamina recovery in Dark Souls 3, crucial for attacking and dodging.
- The Ring of Favor provides a balanced increase in three key stats, but requires defeating tough enemies.
- The Pontiff’s Right Eye boosts Attack Rating for weapons like the Sellsword Twinblades in Dark Souls
While many Dark Souls 3 players often lean towards a Strength-based character setup, some players prefer a Dexterity build for its agility benefits. In this game, speed may not be crucial when facing slower bosses, but it becomes highly advantageous when confronting enemies with swift, hard-to-dodge attacks, especially when using the top Dexterity weapons in the game, as they allow players to move more nimbly and evade these rapid assaults effectively.
For both Player vs Environment (PvE) and Player vs Player (PvP), it’s undeniable that selecting the optimal weapons and rings significantly boosts the effectiveness of their attacks. Here is a list of some top-tier rings for a Dexterity build.
Regardless if players are focusing on PvE or PvP with their Dexterity builds, one fact remains undisputed – the right weapons and rings can greatly enhance the power of their attacks. Here’s a rundown of some excellent ring choices for a Dexterity build.
6. Chloranthy Ring
Increased Stamina Recovery For Long Fights

Location | Found in the Undead Settlement by jumping on a platform halfway through ascending on the elevator at the tower where the arrow-shooting Giant is |
Effect | Raises Stamina recovery by 7 points per second |
It’s undeniable that Stamina is a crucial stat for players in Dark Souls 3, as it plays a vital role in both offensive and defensive maneuvers. While souls can be invested in Endurance, there are additional factors such as the Chloranthy Ring that significantly increase the green bar.
This impressive ring significantly increases Stamina regeneration by 7 points every second, a seemingly small advantage that could mean success against a boss teetering on the edge of defeat or requiring another attempt at a respawn point. The Chloranthy Ring is particularly effective when paired with swift weapons like Straight Swords.
5. Ring Of Favor
A Balanced Increase In Various Stats

Location | Guaranteed drop from Sulyvahn’s Beasts near Archdeacon McDonnell |
Effect | Increases max HP by 3%, max Stamina by 8.5%, and max Equip Load by 5% |
As a devoted player, I can attest that the Ring of Favor is widely recognized as one of the game’s most remarkable rings due to its well-balanced boost in crucial stats. However, as the saying goes, nothing worth having comes easy. To acquire this coveted ring, players must confront and vanquish the formidable Sulyvahn Beasts, where Archdeacon McDonnell resides. This hidden area is subtly camouflaged behind a secret wall, making it easy to overlook. The challenge intensifies as you’ll face not one, but two Sulyvahn Beasts simultaneously. Talk about tough luck!
Acquiring the Ring of Favor isn’t necessary, but for those willing to deal with a bit of challenge, their perseverance will be duly recognized. Players who wish to tackle the Two Sulyvahn Beasts may find it helpful to look into using some of the strongest weapons in Dark Souls 3, as they can significantly ease the fight.
4. Pontiff’s Right Eye
Ideal For Weapons Like The Sellsword Twinblades

Location | Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. Players must defeat the Sulyvahn Beast at the bridge upon arriving at this location. |
Effect | Boosts Attack Rating as long as attack persists |
In Dark Souls 3, Irithyll of the Boreal Valley stands out as one of the most visually misleading locales. At first glance, it seems like a charming storybook town; however, beneath its picturesque exterior lies a horrifying realm where the level of challenge is extraordinarily high.
As soon as they reach, players will find themselves crossing a bridge. But their peaceful journey is suddenly halted when they encounter a colossal Sulyvahn Beast. Although it isn’t technically a boss, this creature presents one of the most challenging fights in the game due to its ability to catch players off guard. Overcoming this beast is crucial for two reasons: firstly, it allows progression deeper into the game, and secondly, defeating it rewards the player with the Pontiff’s Right Eye Ring.
3. Carthus Milkring
Great For Boosting Dexterity And Making Rolling More Effective

Location | Catacombs of Carthus, amid a bunch of spirit-containing vases near the room where the giant skeleton ball rolls into |
Effect | Grants +3 Dexterity and obscures the wearer while rolling |
In the sprawling world of this game, I’ve found no place more intricate or challenging to traverse than the Catacombs of Carthus. It’s not just a maze, it’s a battleground against some truly formidable foes – Undead Bone Shards among them. The colossal skeletons and the rolling skeleton balls that dodge and weave are no walk in the park, but persist, and you’ll be richly rewarded. Hidden among the ruins is a precious item known as the Carthus Milkring. This gem not only enhances my Dexterity but also grants me the cloak of invisibility as I roll, making me as elusive as a shadow in the darkness.
In situations where opponents persistently attack players with rapid strikes, using rolls becomes much more effective and boosts their odds of staying alive, offering a significant advantage.
2. Prisoner’s Chain
A Fair Trade That Gives Players 15 “Free” Levels

Location | Obtained by transposing the Soul of Champion Gundyr |
Effect | Adds +5 Vigor, +5 Endurance, and +5 Vitality at the cost of some damage absorption |
In the tough game known as Dark Souls 3, it’s not surprising that one of the most effective rings would demand a trade-off from players, specifically reducing their defense for higher attack potential.
The Prisoner’s Chain boosts players with an additional five levels in Vigor, Endurance, and Vitality each, providing significant advantage during advanced stages of gameplay. To acquire this precious item, players must first overcome Champion Gundyr, who resides in the concealed Untended Graves location. This area can be effortlessly overlooked if players do not meticulously explore the Consumed King’s Garden.
Champion Gundyr is notably stronger than his toned-down counterpart, Iudex Gundyr, so players should approach this boss battle with caution rather than overconfidence. Utilizing some of the most effective weapons in Dark Souls 3 can greatly facilitate the process.
1. Hunter’s Ring
A Considerable Boost In Dexterity

Location | Grand Archives. At the tower with the three Winged Knights before the stairs to the Prince Lothric boss fight |
Effect | Increases Dexterity by 5 points |
Finally, there’s the Hunter’s Ring, which boosts players’ agility by 5 levels. This ring isn’t particularly beneficial once the soft limit for agility has been exceeded, but prior to that point, it can make all the difference between successfully overcoming a challenging boss and meeting an untimely demise at its hands.
Unfortunately, the ring isn’t available until later in the game, specifically within the Grand Archives. This means some players might have already reached their skill limit (soft cap) by the time they get there. However, considering the significant boost in Dexterity that it provides, it seems illogical not to utilize it.
