In the game Dynasty Warriors: Origins, there are three primary groups, each with its distinctive narrative that includes thrilling surprises and plot twists. As players progress through the third act of the game, they must choose which faction they wish to ally with, a decision that binds them till the end credits appear.
In the game, Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while the majority of the narrative remains fixed, there are some instances where players can influence the outcome for specific characters. This may lead to a slightly varied ending. To ensure a true ending for Wu, players must rescue two pivotal members from the Sun clan.
How to Unlock the True Ending for Wu in Dynasty Warriors: Origins (Sun Clan Secret Ending)
To uncover the genuine finale for Wu, players must first ensure Sun Jian’s survival in the Battle of Xiangyang, followed by saving Sun Ce during the Suppression of Wu. Successfully completing Chapter 5’s final battle under these conditions will reward them with an alternate ending where both Sun Jian and Sun Ce manage to keep the Emperor safe while everyone else is engaged at the Battle of Chibi. This sequence is more intricate than the path to Shu’s true ending, but significantly less complex than attempting to achieve Wei’s.
How to Save Sun Jian during the Battle of Xiangyang (Chapter 3)
In a typical gameplay of the Battle of Xiangyang, I am usually told to advance and abandon Sun Jian. However, I prefer to make my way towards the substantial central region and then attempt to secure the exit located at the bottom-left. Before proceeding any further, I’ll have to overpower a spectral form of Zhang Jiao. If he isn’t present when I initially arrive, I might need to wait a bit for him to materialize.
With Zhang Jiao subdued, it’s time for the players to make their way towards Sun Jian, who is hidden in a cave at the most southwestern corner of the map. Upon arrival, a scene unfolds where Ziluan rescues him from a tumbling rock, and a message indicating a change in fate will flash on the screen. Following this, Sun Jian requests safe passage off the battlefield, marking the end of the mission.
How to Save Sun Ce during the Suppression of Wu (Chapter 4)
In the initial stages of this battle, while the primary objective is securing Sun Ce’s safety, it’s essential for players to focus on defending Sun Quan initially. Given that he’ll likely have to retreat without assistance, your strategic goal should be to overpower as many enemy commanders as you can in the central region of the map. To further aid your allies, make sure to attend to all battlefields marked with letters across the map.
Following a short while, Sun Ce will seize a base positioned towards the left side of the map’s center. Once he begins discussing how the adjacent forest could provide an ideal hiding spot for enemy soldiers, players should swiftly move towards the bottom-left corner of the map. At the extreme southern edge of the forest, they’ll encounter a spectral army and will have to eliminate the phantom Yan Baihu.
With Yan Baihu subdued, players should journey northwards, keeping close to the wall on their left. If they look carefully, they’ll come across a secret cave entrance concealed behind some overgrown vines. Inside, they’ll find Bailuan who will conjure a horde of spectral adversaries to aid him in combat. Once they’ve vanquished Bailuan, the Fate Altered message will reappear, signaling that players should head back to the central area and continue the remainder of the battle as usual.
How to Secure the Emporer during the Battle of Chibi (Chapter 5)
Unlike Wei’s true ending, players don’t have to change their approach during the final battle to unlock Wu’s true ending. Provided they’ve rescued Sun Jian and Sun Ce, all that’s required is to go through the Battle of Sanjiangkou and the Battle of Chibi as normal. If it’s their first time playing through the Sun clan storyline, they’ll have to play through Chapter 5 in its entirety to reach these battles. However, if they’ve played through the storyline before, they can simply visit the Inn and utilize the newly created restart point in the Story menu to jump directly to the last two battles.
To earn the “True Future of Wu” Trophy/Achievement, you must finish the Wu storyline to its genuine conclusion.
