In the series, we first meet Jun Hee when she pays a visit to a doctor who goes by Myung-gi. Unfortunately, Myung-gi is unreachable over the phone. Simultaneously, it’s disclosed that she had already received an invitation card for the Squid Game from the recruiter – the same one seen in Season 1 – prior to her visit to the clinic. Piqued by Myung-gi’s absence, the news of her pregnancy, and her longing for financial security for her upcoming child, Jun Hee decides to participate in the games as a means to secure their future.

After her harrowing experience in the famous “Red Light, Green Light” game, Jun Hee’s initial encounter was an unexpected run-in with her former lover, Lee Myung-gi. As anticipated, their interactions were far from pleasant due to Myung-gi’s past actions, including his abrupt disappearance. The atmosphere is tense as Jun Hee struggles to maintain her focus amidst her overwhelming emotions. To make matters worse, she finds out that he hasn’t changed, still clinging to his greedy, cryptocurrency-focused self. The game following “Red Light, Green Light” is called the “Five-membered Arachnid Competition”. After this contest, each competitor must gather a team of five. Like the earlier seasons, players rush to form teams, as failing to do so before the start means elimination and potential death. Jun Hee faces challenges joining a group, getting turned down when her prospective teammates notice her pregnancy. Myung-gi proposes shelter in his group, but she refuses. Time runs out, and Jun Hee appeals to Gi-Hun and Dae-Jo to let her join their quartet as the fifth member. Although they’ve just chosen one, they replace him with her instead.

In the six-event pentathlon, each team member gets to pick one event from among five options. A team advances only when a member excels in the game they selected. These events include “Flying Stone,” “Ddakji,” “Gongi,” “Spinning Top,” and “Jedi.” Jun Hee’s team suggests she play “Gongi” because it’s traditionally considered a female game, but since she doesn’t play it, she decides on “Ddakji” instead, leaving her teammates in awe. They were the last team to compete, and Jun Hee played a crucial role in their success by masterfully executing her “Ddakji” throw in one attempt.

Immediately following the third game, the players cast votes on whether to carry on or end the games. Jun Hee considers quitting and presses the “X” button. The vote results in a tie, sparking a small-scale conflict between those favoring “X” (the potential quitters) and those insistent on finishing the games, represented by the “O” faction. Jun Hee learns about Gi-Hun’s escape plan when she realizes that the opposing team is planning an attack. Gi-Hun advises them to hide under the bunk bed for safety during the night, and despite their past differences, Jun Hee selflessly helps Myung-gi with this information, saving him from the wrath of the “O” rioters.

To resolve the deadlock, one group needs to persuade the other to board their team prior to the upcoming election. A fight erupts when Myung-gi and his allies who aim to end the contest find themselves in a restroom with members from the opposing side. In a defensive move, Myung-gi stabs Thanos in the neck, creating one of the most memorable deaths in “Squid Game” Season 2. Despite losses on both sides, the quitters have the advantage in numbers. Enraged by their decreasing numbers, the “O” group plots a vengeful retaliation.
