Unveiled: The Ultimate Clash Royale Tower Troop Ranking – Find Out Who Reigns Supreme!

Ever since their debut, Tower Troops have brought in an additional dimension of planning to Clash Royale, noticeably influencing the way your deck unfolds. Presently, the game incorporates four separate Tower Troops: Dagger Duchess, Cannoneer, Royal Chef, and Tower Princess, each possessing its own unique advantages and vulnerabilities.

Switching strategies becomes essential when constructing a deck due to swift stabbing attacks from daggers and booming cannon fire, along with pancake-based stat boosts for your Tower Troops in Clash Royale. However, determining the ultimate pick for reaching the top is crucial. In this guide, we’ve organized every Tower Troop to assist you in selecting the optimal one for your Clash Royale matches.

4. Dagger Duchess

Fastest Attack of All Tower Troops

Rarity Legendary
Hit Points 2768
Damage Per Second 248
Dagger Recharge Time 0.9 seconds

Previously, the Dagger Duchess was a top-tier member of the Tower Troop, but following the nerfs that occurred several seasons ago, it’s lost some of its former glory. Despite receiving a boost more recently, it hasn’t regained its past strength. In certain cycle decks, the Tower Troop remains capable, but in most other playstyles, other cards are currently more effective.

Rather than launching a solo assault, the Dagger Duchess swiftly hurls several daggers at an approaching enemy unit in rapid succession across the arena. Yet, once she has unleashed 8 attacks, the energy bar beneath the Crown Tower runs out, causing its attack speed to slow down.

When the Dagger Duchess isn’t actively attacking an army, the bar refills, indicating that she loses effectiveness against beatdown decks with multiple support troops following their primary unit. In such cases, the Dagger Duchess essentially becomes ineffective once it eliminates a single troop. The Tower Troop, boasting the second-highest hit points in the game, often faces challenges when facing common meta decks.

3. Cannoneer

Slow Shots, Big Damage

Rarity Epic
Hit Points 2616
Damage Per Second 160
Hit Speed 2.4 seconds

The Cannoneer marked the debut of the original novelty within the game’s Tower Troops lineup. Initially, this unit was significantly overpowered due to its immense damage output. Even after subsequent adjustments aimed at balancing it, certain Golem decks continue to favor the Cannoneer as their main choice for Tower Troop.

As a gamer, I’d say one of the Cannoneer’s standout features is its whopping damage per shot. Sure, it might not fire as quickly as others in the bunch, but the sheer force it unleashes on any enemy unit daring to cross the bridge makes it a reliable Tower Troop for my decks. It’s like having a powerful deterrent that keeps sneaky Bombers or Firecrackers away from my tower due to its high damage output.

Despite its strong points, The Cannoneer’s main vulnerability lies in confronting decks that employ swarm tactics to win. It finds it challenging against cards such as Graveyard and Goblin Drill, and is often outmaneuvered by most Log Bait decks. Furthermore, among all the tower troops, it has the least health points, making it a risky yet potentially rewarding choice for many players.

2. Royal Chef

A Unique and Powerful Ability

Rarity Legendary
Hit Points 2703
Damage Per Second 109
Buff Cooking Time 24-40 seconds

The latest addition to the Clash Royale arena is the role of Royal Chef among your troops. Unlike other towers we’ve discussed, it doesn’t possess an extraordinary explosive power. In fact, it has the lowest damage per second (DPS) among all tower troops listed here. However, what sets this tower apart is its distinctive Pancake Buff ability.

Every now and then, the Royal Chef hurls a pancake towards one of my allies on the battlefield, bumping up their level by one. Essentially, if I’ve got a soldier at level 15, that pancake buff from the Royal Chef will nudge them up to level 16, which in turn amplifies all their stats at an accelerating rate.

The Royal Chef requires between 24 to 60 seconds to cook the buff, although this time reduces if the Tower Troop isn’t currently engaging enemy troops. Additionally, the Royal Chef can boost several friendly troops concurrently. However, since it prioritizes under-leveled units, the effect is usually distributed among the various units on the battlefield.

1. Tower Princess

The Most Reliable Tower Troop

Rarity Common
Hit Points 3052
Damage Per Second 136
Hit Speed 0.8 seconds

In the popular game Clash Royale, the Tower Princess is the initial Tower Troop unit that players get. Unlike other Common Towers, she stands out for her reliability among all similar units. She provides a good balance between damage output and attack speed without relying on any special abilities like the others do.

In simpler terms, among all the units in the Tower’s army, the Tower Princess boasts the greatest health points. Even though it doesn’t provide any extra useful features, it can absorb more damage before being defeated. Due to the significance of every point of damage at higher rankings, many players prefer the Tower Princess as their chosen unit for the Tower Army, unless they are using a highly specialized deck strategy.

Regardless if other tower troops are locked, the Tower Princess can effortlessly guide you to the title of Ultimate Champion. Although she might not deliver the instant damage of Dagger Duchess or the devastating power of the Cannoneer, her reliability makes her our top recommendation for the finest tower troop in Clash Royale.
