In the upcoming Patch 11.1, players of World of Warcraft have been given a sneak peek at the new zone called Undermine. Upon its arrival, fans will be immersed in mystery, struggle against oppression, and skillfully avoid numerous explosions. This thrilling zone is set to debut as part of the initial significant content expansion for World of Warcraft: The War Within.

Last year’s Warcraft Direct saw the introduction of Patch 11.1 titled Undermined for World of Warcraft. This content update, accessible on the Public Test Realm, immerses players in the subterranean Goblin city of Undermine. Here, they will carry on the struggle against Xal’atath and Gallywix as their plots concerning the damaged Dark Heart intersect.

Currently, Blizzard Entertainment has posted a sneak peek blog about the upcoming zone, Undermine. This expansive city offers various attractions such as the Incontinental Hotel serving as a central hub for fans embarking on their Undermine journey, and Slam Central Station, linking to different parts of the World of Warcraft map. The Demolition Dome accommodates the new PvP Arena, “The War Within’s” Cage of Carnage, while The Gallagio marks the conclusion of the raid, Liberation of Undermine.

Undermine – WoW: The War Within Patch 11.1 Zone

As a gamer in the realm of Undermine, I can form alliances with one of the four major Goblin Cartels every week. The Bilgewater, under the leadership of Monte Gazlowe from the Bilgewater Flats, are a group of tinkers and inventors. On the other hand, the Blackwater, led by Baron Revilgaz, were once pirates but have since turned into vacation and shipping specialists based at Blackwater Marina. The alchemists of Steamwheedle, with Marin Noggenfogger in The Vatworks as their head, and the Venture Co., whose acquisitions experts are led by Grimla Fizzlecrank in The Heaps, complete the list. However, rumors hint at a secret fifth Cartel. Just like The Severed Threads in World of Warcraft: The War Within, these Cartels make up the Undermine Renown faction, offering exceptional rewards such as The Topskimmer Special rocket mount.

Players can engage in the new Operation: Floodgate dungeon, situated within Ringing Deeps outside Undermine. This four-boss instance pits players against hordes of Gallywix’s henchmen as well as agitated flora and fauna. The ultimate objective is to prevent Geezle Gigazap from detonating The Waterworks, causing catastrophic flooding across the entire zone.

Operation: Floodgate Bosses

  • Big M.O.M.M.A – a prototype mech infused with Black Blood, piloted by Darkfuse enforcer Silva Stratospark.
  • Demolition Duo – Keeza Quickfuse and Bront, the brain and brawn behind the “explosive restructuring” of The Waterworks.
  • Swampface – a muddy plant monster awakened by Gallywix’s lackeys.
  • Geezle Gigazap – the electrified mastermind of “THE PROJECT.”

To initiate the “When Opportunity Explodes” quest given by Gazlowe at the Foundation Hall which is connected to the Patch 11.1 campaign and Undermine, players initially need to finish the level-up campaign called “The War Within“. Although wrapping up the max level campaign and the subsequent “Lingering Shadows” chapter from World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 helps lead into the 11.1 story, players won’t necessarily have to complete them beforehand in order to appreciate the new content when it becomes available – tentatively on either February 18th or 25th.
