heads up: what follows may reveal key plot points from Dragon Ball Daima’s seventeenth episode titled “Gomah” which is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
Following the discovery and employment of the Evil Third Eye, King Gomah amassed sufficient power to emerge as the most formidable adversary in Dragon Ball Daima. Once a puny figure, Gomah has now transformed into a colossal beast due to this ancient relic; however, one may wonder about its true nature.
In the initial episode of Dragon Ball Daima, titled “Conspiracy,” King Gomah and Degesu spoke about their intentions for the three wishes they had obtained from Earth’s Dragon Balls. Among other things, they intended to secure the malevolent Third Eye, but fortunately, it didn’t come to fruition after they transformed Goku and his companions into children and infants. Unfortunately for them, Shenron only granted three wishes to repeat customers, as this was Gomah’s first time summoning him. However, he eventually acquired the Third Eye in episode 16, “Degesu.
The Supreme Demon King’s Most Prized Artifact
The One Eye To Rule Them All
Referred to as the infamous Tertian Eye or the Evil Third Eye, this artifact bestows upon its bearer increased strength, mass, and magical abilities. To activate it, simply position it on your forehead. Interestingly, unlike some users who can place it themselves, Gomah needed aid from a Majin woman rather than applying it to his own forehead. Although requiring assistance might be a factor, the process remains straightforward otherwise. Once activated, the user will notice an increase in power and a growth in their physical form.
It’s worth noting that while the Evil Third Eye is often described as bestowing immense “magical power”, it could simply mean that its user can unleash powerful magical blasts in battles, similar to how Z Fighters utilize Ki. So far, this doesn’t appear to grant Gomah access to unique magic spells. However, future episodes might reveal otherwise, given that currently, the enhanced Gomah isn’t showing anything exceptionally special with magic.
In Dragon Ball lore, this powerful artifact is commonly known as the Third Eye or Tertian Eye. Historically worn by former Supreme Demon Kings on their foreheads, it bestows them with immense power and authority. It serves as a potent symbol of the Supreme Demon King, carrying an awe-inspiring magical force.
Realizing that Earth’s Dragon Balls granted just one wish, Gomah regretted his initial decision to rejuvenate Goku and others first. Instead, he yearned for the potent power of the Evil Third Eye, which seemed more advantageous in confronting the warriors who had vanquished Majin Buu. This suggests that the Evil Third Eye could have provided him with additional strength against them.
How Strong Does The Evil Third Eye Make Gomah?

I’ve always been intrigued by Gomah, yet his true might remains elusive before the acquisition of the Evil Third Eye. You see, he’s never shown his fighting prowess before, leaving us with just a sense of his immense strength. However, it’s clear that he’s no match for heavyweights like Tamagami or Dabura.
But once he obtains the Evil Third Eye, Gomah transforms into an extraordinary combatant! He’d be able to hold his own against powerhouses such as Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Glorio, Shin, Majin Kuu, Majin Duu, and even Tamagami Number One – all at once! That’s some serious power we’re talking about here.
In episode 17 of “Dragon Ball Daima”, titled “Gomah”, we witnessed an impressive display as Gomah effortlessly deflected energy blasts from all eight warriors simultaneously without much strain. Given this capability, it’s reasonable to assume that he surpasses Majin Buu in strength, who was the most formidable foe encountered by Goku and his companions prior to “Daima”. The question of how our heroes will overcome him remains unanswered; we shall have to wait and see.
How Did The Evil Third Eye End Up In Hybis’ Hands?
Well, Hybis’ Belt To Be Exact

Previously, the malevolent artifact known as the Evil Third Eye belonged to Demon King Abura, who was the father of Dabura. In a bid to seize power and become the Supreme Demon King, Dabura commissioned a nameless thief to pilfer it and conceal it within the Third Demon World for his future retrieval. The thief successfully swiped the Evil Third Eye but was pursued by the authorities, eventually fleeing to the Third Demon World. Alas, while in transit, a ruffian or savage attacker ambushed Dabura’s thief, causing him to drop the Evil Third Eye into a trench and ultimately lose it, much to Dabura’s chagrin. However, Abura losing control of the Evil Third Eye provided just enough weakness for Dabura to stage a coup against him successfully.
In the storyline, it was Hybis who stumbled upon an eye while out exploring, not knowing its true purpose. He found it peculiar and decided to attach it to his belt buckle. Contrary to some audience assumptions, there is no hidden significance to Hybis possessing this eye, which was first displayed early in the series. This seemingly trivial detail aligns well with the lighter, comedic tone of Dragon Ball Daima.
