Initially, Ghost Rider debuted back in the 1970s with Johnny Blaze as the main character. Yet, in 2014, Marvel opted for a fresh approach to the Spirit of Vengeance, introducing us to Roberto “Robbie” Reyes. Robbie first showed up in All-New Ghost Rider, where he raced in a car that was controlled by his uncle Elias Morrow’s satanic spirit during a drag race.
In the heart of my latest cinematic adventure, I found myself stepping into the boots of a reimagined Ghost Rider, albeit with a twist – instead of the traditional motorcycle, I roared down the streets on a powerful 1969 Dodge Charger. As the plot unfolded, I transformed from a mere sidekick into a self-made hero worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, eventually earning a coveted spot among the Avengers. The audience eagerly welcomed this fresh take on the character, propelling me onto the small screen for my live-action debut in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – an experience I will never forget!

Cindy Moon joined the same school outing as Peter Parker. It was during this trip that he encountered a radioactive spider, which bit him and granted him Spider-Man’s powers. Coincidentally, Cindy also got bitten by the same spider, leading to her acquiring powers similar to Spider-Man. To shield her from Morlun, a predator of the Spider-Totems, she was hidden away by Ezekiel Sims. Unbeknownst to Peter, Cindy existed all these years until he stumbled upon her 13 years later and managed to rescue her from the underground facility where she had been confined.

Since the 1960s, Jane Foster has been a companion and romantic interest to Thor Odinson, but it wasn’t until 2014 that she stepped into the role of a hero. Regrettably, she was diagnosed with cancer and declined magical healing from Thor, who no longer possessed the ability to wield Mjölnir. In an unexpected twist, the enchanted hammer called out to Jane, and when she lifted it, it healed her ailment and bestowed upon her the might of the Mighty Thor. This narrative was eventually portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the film Thor: Love and Thunder.
In her journey to accept her heroic role within the Avengers, Jane found that the cancer hadn’t truly vanished; it had merely been held at bay while she was in her Thor form. Wielding Mjölnir may have brought about temporary wellness, but it also caused her condition to deteriorate because it eliminated the chemotherapy from her system. Eventually, she adopted the title of Valkyrie, which bestowed upon her everlasting powers and permanently cured her cancer.
7. Falcon (Joaquín Torres)
Debut Year: 2016
- Debut Appearance: Captain America: Sam Wilson #6 (February 2016)
- Real Name: Joaquín Torres
- Powers & Abilities: Hybrid Physiology (Flight, Regenerative Healing Factor, Psychic Link with Redwing)
Initially, the role of Falcon was assumed by Sam Wilson, who eventually transformed into Captain America. Consequently, the new Captain America required a Falcon companion, thereby introducing Joaquín Torres in 2016. Torres, a member of the Mexican community, assisted people in crossing the border into the United States.
Torres was seized by the Sons of the Serpent and subsequently underwent a transformation at the hands of Karl Malus, resulting in a fusion between human and falcon attributes due to the involvement of Wilson’s bird companion, Redwing. This metamorphosis bestowed upon Torres the capability to glide using his arm-wings, rapid healing, and a mental connection with Redwing, much like Wilson’s own link. Following Captain America’s rescue mission that also freed others held captive, Torres assumed the role of Falcon moving forward.

Initially, many casual fans may know Flash Thompson as Peter Parker’s high school tormentor. But, in 2011, his storyline took a dramatic turn. Post-high school, Flash joined the military but suffered a devastating injury during combat that cost him his legs. Subsequently, he was involved in an experiment that linked him with the Venom symbiote, transforming him into Agent Venom and putting him on the payroll of the U.S. government.
This unusual portrayal of both Flash and Venom gained widespread popularity due to his eye-catching costume. However, Agent Venom has not appeared frequently in other media beyond this. Following the symbiote’s return to Eddie Brock, Flash eventually assumed the role of Agent Anti-Venom, now armed with the Anti-Venom symbiote, a position he continues to hold at present.

2017 marked the beginning for Riri Williams, an exceptionally intelligent youngster who crafted her own Iron Man-like armor. This remarkable feat caught Tony Stark’s attention, leading him to recognize her as a hero and take her under his wing as a mentor. In the course of their partnership, they collaborated during the second Civil War saga, an event that unfortunately left Stark in a coma. With Stark out of commission, Williams stepped up to assume the role of Ironheart.
Riri Williams, a beloved character among fans, gained fame as part of the youthful superhero team, the Champions. She first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) within ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, and was initially planned to feature in ‘Armor Wars’. However, the situation regarding this project’s progress is currently unclear.

- Powers: Spirit of Vengeance (Hellfire Manipulation, Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Durability, Penance Stare, Immortality, Meta Possession, Remote Possession, Mystical Chain Projection). Power Cosmic (Interstellar Travel, Energy Projection, Cosmic Penance Stare, Telekinesis)
- Abilities: Weapon Fabrication
In another universe, Cosmic Ghost Rider is the equivalent of Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher. During Thanos’ pursuit of Earth, Castle perished. Subsequently, he was dispatched to Hell where he struck a bargain with Mephisto, transforming into the Ghost Rider. Upon his return to Earth, he found that Thanos had emerged victorious and was the lone survivor on the planet. Later, Galactus approached the planet and struck a deal with Castle, offering him the Power Cosmic in exchange for Earth, enabling him to avenge himself against Thanos. As a result of this transaction, Castle assumed the role of both Ghost Rider and a Herald of Galactus.
This idea might seem far-fetched at first, but it proves effective in surprising ways. The Cosmic Ghost Rider has made appearances in various tales within the Marvel Universe, demonstrating his strength across multiple realities. However, so far, he hasn’t had any significant appearances beyond comic books.
3. Ghost-Spider / Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy)

- Abilities: Musician, Skilled Detective, Skilled Fighter, Web-Slinging
In a different universe called Earth-65, Gwen Stacy got bitten by a spider instead of Peter Parker, which gave her spider-like powers. Originally going by Spider-Woman, she later chose the name Spider-Gwen and eventually took on the identity of Ghost-Spider.
In the epic saga of the Spider-Verse, I found myself standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow arachnid champions, battling the formidable Inheritors across the multiverse. Over time, my actions and determination solidified my status as a hero, eventually leading me to call Earth-616 home. Known affectionately as Spider-Gwen, I’ve had the privilege of gracing animated screens in blockbuster hits like “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and its eagerly anticipated sequel, “Across the Spider-Verse.
2. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)

- Powers: Mutant-Inhuman Hybrid Physiology (Inhuman Physiology: Morphogenetics, Elongation, Size Alteration, Accelerated Healing, Appearance Alteration, Bioluminescence), (Mutant Physiology: Hard Light Constructs, Hard Light Exoskeleton)
Ms. Marvel, previously known more for being Captain Marvel’s sidekick, has risen to prominence within the Avengers, demonstrating her independent strength. Kamala Khan stands out as a unique character due to her dual abilities stemming from her Inhuman and Mutant lineage; these include stretching like an elastic and regenerating herself using hard light.
She’s a pioneering figure, being the initial Muslim character to lead a comic book series – a significant accomplishment that perhaps should have been reached earlier, in a more recent decade. Known as Ms. Marvel, she has since starred in her own titled series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is also part of the film “The Marvels.
1. Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
Debut Year: 2011
- Debut Appearance: Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011)
- Real Name: Miles Gonzalo Morales

- Powers: Spider Physiology/OZ formula Enhancement (Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Speed, Superhuman Stamina, Superhuman Durability, Superhuman Agility, Superhuman Equilibrium, Superhuman Reflexes, Wallcrawling, Spider-Sense, Radar Sense, Electricity Generation, Mega Venom Blast, Venom Beam, Venom Punch, Lateral Repulsion, Bio-Electric Constructs, Venom-Saber, Energy-Thread Generation, Camouflage, Regeneration)
Certainly, let me share my perspective as a passionate movie enthusiast: Beyond any shadow of a doubt, Miles Morales stands out as the most captivating Marvel character to emerge in the 2010s for me. Hailing from the Ultimate Universe initially, he stepped into the shoes of Spider-Man following what seemed like Peter Parker’s tragic demise. Since then, his journey has led him to the primary 616 Marvel Universe. As a fresh take on Spider-Man, Miles inherits all of Peter’s remarkable abilities, yet he boasts extraordinary powers of his own – the ability to generate electricity and camouflage, adding an extra layer of prowess that sets him apart.
Due to his growing fame, there have been several adaptations created based on him, including an animated movie franchise, a video game, and a mention in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, he hasn’t appeared in a live-action production just yet.
