Each installment has its dedicated fans – the original Sims often evokes fond memories, The Sims 2 is praised for its detailed animations and graphics, some enjoy the unique style of The Sims 3, and others have fully embraced the features of The Sims 4.

I’ve been playing The Sims for ages, and The Sims 4 actually came out over ten years ago now! Even though they’re still releasing new stuff for it, a lot of us fans are starting to look around for other life simulation games to play. So, I put together a list of some promising *Simslike games that are coming out soon – hopefully, one of them will be exactly what you’re looking for!

The Ranchers is a relaxing indie game where you experience country life. The developers have been successfully funded by fans through Kickstarter, raising over $250,000 in the last few years. They’re currently aiming to release the game within the next two months.

When the game releases, players can enjoy a delightful open world where they can mine for resources, create and manage their own farm, customize their perfect home, befriend the villagers, and even find romance.

If you loved the magical elements in The Sims 4’s Realm of Magic expansion, you’ll be excited to hear about Witchbrook, coming in 2026! In this new game, you’ll play as a student witch attending Witchbrook College in the town of Mossport.

Players will encounter a diverse cast of characters and have the chance to explore both the school grounds and the nearby town of Mossport. When not attending classes, they can hone their magical abilities, prepare for tests, join clubs, build relationships with the locals, and personalize their cozy woodland cottage.

Players will simply unwind and live a peaceful life alongside their beloved Pokémon. Many fans are eagerly anticipating the March 5, 2026 release of Pokopia on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Paralives

Long Time Fans’ Most Anticipated Sims-Like Game

For a long time, fans of The Sims have been eagerly awaiting Paralives, which is currently the most anticipated life simulation game. The game was originally planned for release in December 2025, but has now been pushed back to May 2026. Developers hope the extra time will allow them to polish the game and make it a success.

Similar to the popular game The Sims, players in Parafolk will manage a household, connect with town residents, build relationships, start families, pursue careers, and develop skills – essentially living complete virtual lives. The developers have stated that the initial game will be substantial, with plans to add features like pets, vehicles, and realistic emotions during the early access period, which has generated excitement among fans.
