Fans of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure are consistently elated when a new edition of the JOJO Magazine is unveiled, and this winter, they will receive a spin-off short story connected to the Golden Wind storyline (or Part 5).

JOJO Magazine, launched in 2021, is a periodical devoted to the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series and its creator, Hirohiko Araki. This quarterly publication made its debut in March 2022, with subsequent issues appearing in December of each year.

Typically, the magazine features interviews with significant figures within the franchise, as well as future works by Araki, such as one-shots and spin-offs. This December, a special one-shot penned by Yoshihito Okita named “My Honored Needle and Threads” (Ore Jiman no Hari to Ito) is set to be published, focusing on members of the La Squadra Esecuzioni/Hitman Team – Pesci and Prosciutto. They have given a sneak peek of this project on social media.

More on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure

Jojo has been a lasting series since it began publication in 1987. Originally appearing in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump magazine, it was later moved to Ultra Jump in 2011. Although there is a dedicated magazine for the franchise, the current storyline, known as The JoJoLands, continues to be published in Ultra Jump, not the JOJO Magazine.

Each story arc in the series primarily follows distinct main characters, although past characters may occasionally reappear. Currently, the series is broken down into nine sections:

Anime Adaptations and Where to Watch

The tale gave rise to multiple anime versions, among them an OVA episode helmed by Satoshi Kon. However, a reboot series by David Production began in 2012 and has thus far covered six installments (ranging from “Phantom Blood” to “Stone Ocean”). A new season adapting “Steel Ball Run” is yet to be revealed.

The comic book series “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” is distributed in the United States by VIZ Media. Various companies and streaming platforms hold distinct rights for each section of the anime adaptation, however, the majority of it can be accessed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
