LEGO is poised for a major year in 2026. This week, they unveiled “Smart Play,” a new system using special pieces to make building more immersive, starting with three Star Wars sets in March. Plus, a big LEGO and Pokémon collaboration is launching this year, with potential sets varying greatly in size and price. However, one upcoming LEGO set, in particular, has generated a lot of buzz and appears to be exactly what fans have been hoping for.
We’ve been discussing how much people are looking forward to the new LEGO Legend of Zelda set, particularly fans of the Nintendo game series. The Deku Tree set, released a couple of years ago, was a big success because it let you build two different versions – one from Ocarina of Time and one from Breath of the Wild. This has created a lot of buzz around the next Zelda set, and now we’re finally starting to get some information about what it will include.
The Upcoming Legend of Zelda LEGO Set Could Feature An Iconic Villain From The Franchise
New information indicates the next LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda will include Ganon, the series’ famous villain. Ganon has appeared in various forms over the years and is a well-known figure in gaming, making his inclusion in the set a logical choice.
Rumors hinted that Ganon would play a significant role in the new Legend of Zelda game, and the reveal trailer from last year seemed to confirm this. The trailer showed Link, wearing his outfit from Ocarina of Time, observing a large, dark figure approaching. It also featured Zelda in a dress similar to the one she wears later in Ocarina of Time.
Regarding the different forms Ganon might take in the LEGO Legend of Zelda set, we still haven’t seen which version will be included. If the set is large, like a detailed scene or diorama from Ocarina of Time, it would likely feature Beast Ganon rather than just his Gerudo form.
LEGO did a great job bringing Bowser to life with his set, and it would be amazing if they did the same for Ganon. Beast Ganon is full of cool details, just as intricate as Bowser, if not more so. Ideally, LEGO would also include a Gerudo Ganon minifigure, allowing fans to complete a Triforce trio of collectibles.
Unfortunately, if recent reports are accurate, the LEGO Ganon set from The Legend of Zelda will be smaller than other large LEGO sets like the Deku Tree and Bowser. The rumor suggests it will contain just over 1,000 pieces, making it a more modestly sized build compared to some of LEGO’s more complex releases in recent years.

Fortunately, the number of pieces indicates this LEGO set should be more affordable, which is something we really need right now. The LEGO Legend of Zelda Deku Tree set is quite pricey at $250, and other interesting collaborations, like the Stranger Things Creel House, have been similarly expensive. A price point of around $100 to $150 would make this set much more accessible to many Zelda fans.
We’ll find out soon when the official Legend of Zelda LEGO set is announced, but if the recent rumors are true, it should be released around March. Because of this, I expect we’ll see a reveal sometime this month, along with more information about the new Pokémon LEGO sets that are coming out soon.
