The Use Your Imagination quests are truly a testament to the creative minds behind this game, allowing us to collaborate with beloved Disney characters in ways we could only dream of.
Following Jafar’s acquisition of the Enchanted Imagination, strange behavior from Mickey Mouse and unusual fissures appearing throughout the village have been observed. To rectify this situation permanently, join forces with Merlin, Mickey, and your comrades hailing from Eternity Isle to complete the “Imagine Away” mission, aimed at sealing these rifts for good.
The rifts will close after you make something creative together and toss it inside them. It looks like your imagination is stronger than Jafar’s magic. Today, we will show you how to complete all Use Your Imagination quests in DDV.
How to Complete All Use Your Imagination Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Here’s a detailed overview of each Use Your Imagination sub-quest:
Use Your Imagination: Mickey
Once you accompany Mickey Mouse to the Hidden Beach in The Courtyard, where one of the fissures lies, Mickey’s “Use Your Imagination” mission initiates. Surprisingly, Mickey starts craving for hot dogs and instructs you on how to build a complete Hot Dog Stand instead.
These are the materials you’ll need for it:
- 8 x Brass Ingots
- 8 x Bronze Ingots
On Eternity Isle, you can craft Brass Ingots by combining 3 Copper, 2 Zinc, and a single piece of Coal Ore. To make Bronze Ingots, you’ll need 4 Copper, 1 Tin, and another piece of Coal Ore. You can find all these resources on the island and mine them using your pickaxe.
After gathering the necessary materials, head to the closest crafting spot and build the Hot Dog Stand. Hand it over to Mickey who’ll then request you prepare 2 Hot Dogs using his unique Toon Dog cooking method. Here are the items you should gather first:
- 2 x Venison
- 2 x Poultry
- 2 x Pork
- 2 x Wheat
- 2 x Toon Sauce
1. Mickey will pass on the Toon Sauce to you, allowing you to gather the remaining items on the Isle. Once you’ve prepared a top-tier dish using this sauce, hand it over to Mickey. Upon sealing the rift with him, that stage of the process will be finished.
Use Your Imagination: EVE
In the historical site known as The Docks, another deep fissure is found within the Ancient Ruins. During EVE’s “Imagine Away” quest, you can help her bridge this gap. At first, EVE seems uninspired, so she turns to WALL-E for assistance. The timid robot provides you with an old movie projector and advises creating a film reel as a means of sparking creativity in EVE.
Now, you’ll need to take three pictures of EVE and WALL-E in the following places:
- Inside the Ancient Ruins
- Inside WALL-E’s House
- Inside EVE’s House.
As a gamer, after snapping some heartwarming shots of that cute robot duo, I’ll need to put together a Movie Roll using these items.
- 8 x Plastic Scrap
- 3 x Mechanical Parts.
1. The main character finds Plastic Debris by angling in the waters of The Docks, The Courtyard, The Overlook, and The Ruins territories. On the other hand, you can craft Mechanical Components by combining one piece of Brass and one piece of Bronze.
After creating the Film Reel at your workstation, give it to EVE and then go to the rift area together with her to take it off and finish that stage.
Use Your Imagination: Rapunzel
Speak with Rapunzel and accompany her to Sundial Island, where another large fissure lies. Upon asking her for an idea on a joint creation, she envisions the enchanting Floating Lanterns, similar to those seen in Disney’s Tangled film.
To craft a Floating Lantern, you will need to get your hands on these items:
- 25 x Tropical Wood
- 10 x Bamboo
- 3 x Rope.
Tropical Woods lie scattered around trees in The Grasslands, The Promenade, The Grove, and The Lagoon, and Bamboo can be found in these locations as well. To create a Rope, gather eight separate strands of plant fibers.
Gather all necessary items, then proceed to the crafting area to construct the lantern. Once presented to Rapunzel, she will express that something is amiss – a wish. To formally conclude this journey, approach the villagers and request to know their heartfelt wishes.

After gathering all the desires from everyone involved, pass them along to Rapunzel. She’ll then inscribe them on a Floating Lantern and ask you to join her at Sundial Island. Upon arrival, she’ll toss the lantern into the rift, which marks the successful completion of this phase of our quest.
Use Your Imagination: Gaston
To embark on Gaston’s “Use Your Imagination” mission, you’ll first need to find him close to a chasm at his encampment in The Wastes. However, Gaston might struggle to access his imagination. In this situation, you’ll have to converse with Oswald for advice. He will propose that reminding Gaston of his past heroic feats could spark his creativity.
As you chat with the Desert Explorer, he’ll share his discovery of a wrecked ship on Eternity Isle during their conversation. Accompany him to that location, yet don’t expect any suggestions from him. Instead, locate a vantage point, as it may help stimulate an idea in his mind – perhaps finding a miniature ship within a bottle.
To create it, collect these resources:
- 20 x Softwood
- 8 x Glass
1. In Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, or The Docks, you can gather softwood lying around trees. Additionally, combine five sand with one coal ore to create glass.
After gathering everything needed, hand over the items to Gaston. With these materials, he’ll construct a Ship-in-a-Bottle. You can then throw this into the chasm, which will seal it and complete the “Use Your Imagination” mission.
