Valheim is Finally Launching on PlayStation

Iron Gate Studio has announced that the popular survival game *Valheim* is coming to PlayStation consoles in 2026. This is great news for PlayStation players who have been eagerly awaiting the game, as it’s also getting close to its official 1.0 launch.

I remember when *Valheim* first came out on PC in 2021 – it blew up almost instantly! It sold over 3 million copies in just a month, which was insane, and now they’ve shipped over 12 million copies total. Last year, in 2023, it finally hit Xbox and Game Pass, which was awesome. But honestly, it’s a little weird that it *still* isn’t on PlayStation. You’d think they’d want a game like that with so many players on those consoles.

Valheim Will Come to PlayStation Consoles in 2026

I’m so thrilled! Iron Gate just announced that *Valheim* is finally coming to PlayStation consoles in 2026! One of the founders, Henrik Törnqvist, said they’re really excited to welcome even more players into the world of *Valheim* and see what stories we all create. Sadly, they haven’t given us a specific release date yet, just that it’ll be sometime in 2026. They’re currently working on the big 1.0 update for the game, aiming for Spring 2026, so we’re not sure if the PlayStation version will come out before or alongside that update. I’m just so excited either way!

Following the recent Call to Arms update that enhanced gameplay, Valheim has announced further improvements. The update introduced Adrenaline, a resource gained by combat actions like hitting or parrying enemies. When full, Adrenaline activates a bonus tied to a player’s equipped Trinket. Trinkets themselves are new craftable items made from trophies, and the update also added wooden weapons, letting players safely practice fighting with friends in co-op mode.

I’m super hyped for the Deep North update in *Valheim*! It’s supposed to be the last big one before the game officially launches as 1.0. From what I’ve seen, this new biome is going to be packed with cool stuff – like seals to hunt, but also some seriously tough enemies to fight. I’m really hoping it’s a big success for *Valheim*; it looks like we’re getting a whole new area to explore with more things to do and even harder challenges, and it seems like the most advanced content they’ve added yet.
