Valkyrae Accuses Jason Momoa of ‘Mistreating’ Crew on Minecraft Movie

As a gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Valkyrae’s comments about Jason Momoa are not only justified but also a wake-up call for the Hollywood industry. Having interacted with numerous celebrities during gaming events and collaborations, I can attest to the fact that professionalism and respect towards crew members are non-negotiable values.

Rachell Marie Hofstetter, more famously known as ‘Valkyrae’, has spoken out negatively about Jason Momoa. During an appearance with FaZe Clan on YouTube, she shared that her interaction with Momoa was her most unpleasant encounter with a celebrity while filming a cameo for the upcoming Minecraft movie.

‘It Was Pretty Disappointing’

Valkyrae recently had a chat with FaZe Clan, similar to the popular ‘Hot Ones’ series. During this conversation with ‘Jasontheween’, she was asked about her least favorable encounter with a celebrity or streamer. She shared that she has a role in the upcoming Minecraft movie set for release next April.

Later, she shared that during filming, she observed Jason Momoa scolding the production team, an incident that made her uncomfortable and now ranks as her most unpleasant encounter with a celebrity.

“In the Minecraft film, I made a brief appearance. If you were to ask who that was, I’d have to tell you it was Jason Momoa. To be honest, I was taken aback by how he behaved towards some of the crew members. It occurred after a highly emotional scene, so perhaps he was still immersed in his role; nevertheless, it was disheartening to witness such behavior.
As a gamer, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly frustrated when they botched the setup for that shot. It was clear they weren’t getting it right, and it had me boiling over with anger. I found myself shouting, unable to contain my agitation. Frankly, this didn’t feel like a conducive workspace at all. I wouldn’t relish the idea of sticking around in such an environment, let alone being happy there.

Previously, Variety released an article suggesting that Jason Momoa’s behavior on set was unprofessional, resembling drunkenness. This isn’t the first time such controversy has surrounded him. In fact, a joke he made about rape in 2011 resurfaced online and caused a stir back in 2017.
