The inaugural international VALORANT Masters tournament of the 2025 VCT calendar is set in Bangkok, making it the initial time an international competition graces Southeast Asia. This marks the beginning of the 2025 global VALORANT tour, with subsequent events taking place in Toronto and Paris (Masters Toronto and Champions Paris respectively) later on.
Similar to the previous year, the initial global event of 2025 showcases a limited number of teams. However, don’t be fooled by the smaller pool – VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 will be brimming with top-notch talent. Here’s all you need to know about it.
VALORANT Masters Bangkok Teams
8 teams have been invited to Masters Bangkok. These teams secured their spots by finishing at the top of their respective leagues in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Kickoff tournaments, which granted them direct entry to this event.

VALORANT Masters Bangkok Schedule
At VALORANT Masters Bangkok, there are going to be two main parts: an initial Swiss stage with eight teams, followed by a playoff round with only four teams. In the Swiss stage, top seeds and second seeds will go head-to-head in the first round. During rounds two and three, teams with identical records will compete against each other. Teams that secure two victories move on to the playoffs, while those who lose twice get eliminated. The playoffs will feature a double-elimination tournament format.
The first round of Swiss stage matches have been set:
- EDG vs. Liquid – February 20, 10am UTC
- DRX vs. Sentinels – February 20, 1pm UTC
- Vitality vs. T1 – February 21, 10am UTC
- G2 vs. Trace – February 21, 1pm UTC
From February 20th through the 24th, Switzerland will host its events. Starting on February 27th, playoffs will commence, culminating in the grand final on March 2nd.
VALORANT Masters Bangkok Prize Pool
The teams are vying for a total prize money of half a million dollars, along with most of the 10 VCT Championship points up for grabs. These points are essential for deciding which teams make it to Champions at the end of the year.
- 1st Place – $250,000 and 5 VCT points
- 2nd Place – $100,000 and 3 VCT points
- 3rd Place – $65,000 and 2 VCT points
- 4th Place – $35,000 and 1 VCT point
- 5th/6th Place – $15,000
- 7th/8th Place – $10,000
