As a dedicated Valorant player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that the latest patch 9.02 has truly elevated my gaming experience! It’s about time we share these fantastic features across all platforms!

As a long-time Valorant player on PC, I’m thrilled to pieces about the latest patch 9.02 that Riot has just dropped! I’ve always envied console players for getting to play on the stunning Icebox map, and now we PC folks can finally join in the fun. And speaking of joining in, another fantastic addition is that PC players can now access the Basic Training (tutorial) and The Range – features that have long been exclusive to console gamers. These resources are essential for newcomers to familiarize themselves with the game mechanics and hone their skills, respectively. I’m looking forward to giving them a go and seeing how they enhance my gaming experience!

All Platforms

As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that Riot has announced an update focusing on player behavior in all Valorant platforms. Following patch 9.02, any toxic players using abusive language over comms will be met with harsher consequences. Plus, several agents like Neon, gameplay systems such as Premier Overtime and Ability HUD, and maps including Abyss and Sunset have received some necessary bug fixes to enhance our gaming experience. Let’s keep the community positive and enjoyable for all!

Valorant PC Players Can Now Access Basic Training and The Range

Newcomers to Valorant on PC can explore Basic Training (tutorial) and The Range following the 9.02 update. These options are now accessible under the Console version’s practice menu for novices who need to complete the tutorial first. Established players have the freedom to check them out as well, without the mandatory tutorial session.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that during gameplay updates, the combat report has gotten a visual makeover. And here’s some great news for those in the Contender and Invite Divisions: starting with Premier Updates, playoff finals will now be best-of-3 series! Map picks and bans will also take place before agents select their maps for each match. The game will rotate maps out of the map pool after they’ve been played in subsequent matches. Plus, new playoff qualification rules have been added to the standings page for easy access. Lastly, on the social panel, I can now see which platform my friends are gaming from, making it even simpler to connect with them during our matches!

Console Players Receive Icebox and More Through Patch 9.02

Console Valorant users can now access the much-awaited Icebox map in all modes, including Competitive, Unrated, Quick Match, and Deathmatch.

A thrilling new function named “Adjustable Abilities” is now available, providing players with more power to manage certain skills. By activating the “Toggle” mode with a button press and hold, players can manipulate talents like Harbor’s High Tide, Phoenix’s Fire Wall, Skye’s Guiding Light, Neon’s High Gear, and Sova’s Hunter Fury. This innovation could drastically change the Valorant console gaming experience by allowing for more strategic control over these abilities.

Players can access this feature during gameplay with a designated button, and they have the choice to mute other players or switch voice channels. Social notifications now come with their own sound cue. Lastly, details about your party can be seen in the social channel following the Valorant update 9.02.
