Valve Reveals It’s Next-Gen Steam Machine

Valve, the company behind Steam, is entering the console market again. They’ve just revealed their new Steam Machine, a next-generation gaming system.

The Steam Machine is expected to be released around the beginning of 2026, but Valve hasn’t announced an exact release date or price yet.

This new console, previously known internally as “Fremont,” has been the subject of rumors for quite some time. Recently, performance tests for the device were even spotted on Geekbench.

This new system runs on SteamOS and comes with its own built-in power supply. It offers up to 2TB of storage and can play games in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, powered by a specially designed AMD processor and graphics card.

Besides working with Steam, the device will let users install their own operating systems and applications. Valve also states it has enough processing power to stream games to your Steam Deck, Steam Link, or the new Steam Frame VR headset.

I’ve been digging into all the details, and you can find a complete list of specs below – things like how much memory it has, what kinds of ports it offers, and how it connects to networks. It’s all there if you want to take a look!
