Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Devs Promise Fixes

An update has been released for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and the developers have assured fans they’re working on fixes for major problems that have existed since the game came out.

Much of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will feature flashbacks that let you experience the life of Fabien, an undead detective connected to the main character. These flashback sections will focus on solving puzzles and unraveling a larger mystery that impacts the present-day story.

Players have noted that once you finish the Fabien sections in the game, there’s no reason to replay them. A recent update on the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Steam page suggests that future playthroughs might allow you to skip those sections.

The latest update for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, called the “Halloween Update,” includes new cosmetic items and fixes several bugs. The developers have also announced they are planning larger updates for the game down the line.

The developers plan to improve save game features, letting players easily explore all the different endings. Even better, they’re working on a custom difficulty setting that will allow experienced players to skip the Fabien parts of the game on future playthroughs.

Players should experience the Fabien sections during their first playthrough, even if they’re frustrating, because they’re crucial for understanding the story. After that initial run, though, these sections can become tedious, so it would be helpful to have the option to skip them on subsequent playthroughs.

Honestly, if Bloodlines 2 just got a quick travel option, it would solve so many of the current problems. It’s a shame though, because I’m not sure if there will even be a player base left by the time they actually get those updates out. I really hope they can turn things around!
