In the video game Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, playing as a vampire isn’t always about the typical clichés like drinking blood, avoiding religious symbols, or fighting those who hunt you. Often, you’ll need to rely on sneaking around and staying hidden.

As part of a covert operation, you’ll need to sneak into the police station and retrieve Benny’s blackmail book. It’s crucial to avoid detection by the police – being caught would expose the secrets you’re trying to protect.

Getting inside the police station in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 can be challenging. Because there are police officers patrolling, you’ll need to figure out the best way to infiltrate it.

Avoiding The Police In The Station

Following the disappointing conclusion to Willem’s storyline in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, your next objective is to find and secure Benny’s blackmail book – it contains valuable information you need to keep safe.

The file is locked away in his old office at the police station, protected by officers who aren’t currently on patrol in Seattle.

As soon as you go inside the police station, Fabien will warn you to stay hidden. If any officer sees you, they’ll immediately surround you, and you’ll have to start the quest over.

Reaching Benny’s Office

Start this secret operation by going inside the police station. Immediately to the side of the reception desk is a door to the community room. Your goal is to sneak through the room, avoiding any officers, and get to Benny’s office.

As soon as you go inside, duck down to stay hidden and move to the left. Get behind the whiteboard to avoid the police. You’ll have to wait near some of the desks until an officer turns around and walks out of sight.

After the police officer leaves, carefully walk across the middle of the room towards Benny’s office door. You’ll find it’s locked, so you’ll need to find another route.

Getting To Fabien’s Office

Start at Benny’s office. Turn right and follow the path the officer took, going down the stairs. Continue to Fabien’s office, which is at the end of the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, just beyond the interrogation room entrance.

There’s a vent under the stairs that can help you avoid the police in this part of the map. I didn’t use it during my run, but it might be helpful if you’re struggling with this area.

While the officers are talking, you can go into the room just past the entrance, near the hallway. Then, turn left to find the interrogation room.

When you reach Fabien’s office, you will realize that you need the key to enter it.

Getting The Key

Start from Fabien’s office. Sneak behind the lockers and wait until the people in the office have left the hallway near the evidence room. Then, crouch low under the window to stay hidden from the officer in the hallway office, and open the door to the evidence room.

Skills like Blink can help you move around the police station more quickly. I personally used Blink to sneak past a police officer in the hallway downstairs and avoid being seen.

When you enter the evidence room, search for the keys to Fabien’s office – you’ll find them in the back right corner. Once you have the keys, head back the way you came to Fabien’s office, using the lockers to hide from the guard patrolling the hallway.

Accessing Benny’s Office

Now that you have the key, go to Fabien’s office. Use the air vent in the corner to crawl through the police station until you reach Benny’s office. Inside, you’ll find the blackmail book on the desk – it’s next to a knife.

Now that you have the book, the hardest part of the mission is surprisingly easy: just walk out. The police are only focused on who’s coming in, so once you have it, they won’t pay attention to you leaving.
