You might encounter some tricky puzzles in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. One example is the Atrium puzzle, which blocks your path to Ysabella early in the game.

Once you find the underground passages and reach the Gardener’s burial site, you’ll see a hand sticking out of a stand. To continue, you need to put the missing fingers back on that hand.

We’ve figured out how to fix the missing finger issue in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2.

How To Solve The Fingerless Hand Puzzle

Once you discover the hand missing its fingers, you’ll be tasked with figuring out its puzzle. While there aren’t any hints given, it’s not a particularly challenging one to solve.

To solve the puzzle, you need to find the four missing fingers. They’re hidden somewhere inside the building.

You’ll need to use your vampire powers for this task. Specifically, your heightened senses will be crucial for pinpointing everyone’s exact location.

First Finger Location

The first clue is in the room to the left. Enter through the round doorway. Once inside, you’ll find a gong with a bookshelf to its left.

If you use your vampire senses in here, you’ll notice the symbol from your hand appears on the bookshelves at the back. To solve this puzzle – and understand all the symbols – you need to find the exact spot where the symbol lines up correctly.

To proceed, position yourself on the bookshelf close to the gong and face the back of the room where you’ll see a symbol. Once aligned, the symbol will vanish, signaling you to use your telekinetic abilities.

Use your mind to pull the finger closer – this will release the first of four pieces you need to solve the puzzle.

Second Finger Location

Okay, so I finally found the second finger! It’s in a room on the right side of this whole underground place. The room itself is pretty wrecked – there’s a staircase that’s totally collapsed in the middle, and two pillars that are broken all to pieces.

If you pay attention to your surroundings in this room, a mark will reappear on your hand. This time, you’ll see it appear on the balcony and staircase.

You’ll find some stones protruding from the wall in the corner of the room. Step onto those stones to complete the wall marking, which will then make a second finger appear.

Use your telekinesis once more to retrieve the finger once it becomes seen.

Third Finger Location

To locate the third finger, go to the hand. Then, turn left and look at the bookshelves on the balcony to the left of the main room.

Using your vampire vision, you’ll notice highlighted sections on the bookshelves. Now, position yourself so you’re facing the correct bookshelves to complete the symbol and get the third finger.

Fourth Finger Location

The last finger is on the left side of the hand that’s missing a finger. If you’re facing the hand, look to your left. You’ll see a marking visible through the doorway on that side.

Okay, so to get through, you just walk up to the door. There’s a symbol you need to line up, and honestly, you might have to shuffle your feet a bit to get it just right. But once you see that glowing finger appear, you’ve unlocked everything – all the stuff you need is now yours!

Return to the Hand

Okay, so I’ve got all four fingers now! The next step is to head back to that hand in the main room – the one in the back. When I interact with it, a cool cutscene plays showing the fingers getting reattached. Can’t wait to see that!

You’ll now be transported to the flower field with the central tree, just like the one from Fabien’s memories, where you’ll face the Gardener.

You’ll face many tough battles in this game, so it’s a good idea to unlock more powerful abilities to help you win them.
