Verdansk is Reportedly Returning to Warzone in Season 3

Verdansk is reportedly returning to Warzone during Season 3, which will be around mid-April 2025.

That’s according to TheGhostofHope, who has accurately leaked Call of Duty details in the past.

On the platform known as X (previously Twitter), in response to a request to disclose details of Verdansk with the aim of prompting Activision, Hope responded with “S3”. This translates to Season 3.

Initially, TopMob learned that Verdansk was supposed to reappear in December 2023. This information suggested that the comeback was prompted by the outstanding achievement of OG Fortnite, where Epic Games had previously revived the game’s initial map with remarkable success. However, the release date for the map got pushed back from December 2024 to Spring 2025.

In August 2024, during the CODNEXT event, Activision officially acknowledged the leaks, revealing that the iconic map, Verdansk, will make its comeback in 2025. A tweet by Hope hints at its absence in Season 2 and instead suggests that fans can look forward to it in Season 3. This means we’re yet a few months away from its release.

The duration of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 1 was approximately 70 days, implying that we might expect the revival of Verdansk around mid-April. However, if the map is introduced during a mid-Season update, which could occur in late May, then the return could happen earlier.

Verdansk Took Call of Duty to New Heights

2020 marked the debut of Verdansk and Call of Duty Warzone, catapulting the Call of Duty series to unprecedented levels. This groundbreaking game, a first for the franchise as a free-to-play title, resonated strongly with Call of Duty enthusiasts and set a new record for concurrent players. Moreover, this popularity translated into substantial financial success for Activision, generating billions of dollars in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the triumphant launch of OG Fortnite, leading to a resurgence in Fortnite’s player community, it appears that Activision is optimistic that their new map, Verdansk, might achieve similar success.

At the moment, Call of Duty is experiencing significant troubles with bugs and hackers, rendering it nearly unplayable for many gamers. Fingers crossed that these problems are resolved prior to the launch of Verdansk.
